Rebekah was the baby sister of the siblings. There are 7 siblings. Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, kol, Finn, freya, and henrik. Unfortunately henrik died a 1,000 years ago when they were very young. He got mauled to death by werewolf’s. That’s why ester their mother turned her children into original vampires that cannot be killed only by the white oak stake so they wouldn’t die. But klaus was also part werewolf at the time and when he had his first kill by feeding on a human he triggered his werewolf curse making him the first hybrid. Ester and mikael knew this so they chained him up and ester cursed away his werewolf side so that he wouldn’t use it anymore. But he later broke the curse by using one of the doppelgängers Elena and became the hybrid again. Anyways, freya is the oldest sibling and she’s the only witch out of all 7 of them. But freya wasn’t with them at the time when they became vampires because their aunt dahlia took her so that she can take her power. It’s called a firstborn curse meaning that whenever a person in the family is born a witch and use their magic dahlia would sense it and come for the child so that she can take their power. That’s why Hope was almost taken since she’s part witch but luckily the mikaelsons defeated dahlia and Hope remained safe. Dahlia casted a spell on herself and freya so that they can live for a 1,000 years but only get to sleep for 100 years and wake up just to go back to sleep again so that remained looking young but also alive. That’s why freya is still alive after a 1,000 years and still remained the oldest sibling.

So basically klaus Daggers Rebekah cause she ask someone to find mikel which is all the mikaelsons dad but not klaus because klaus mother was having an affair with a werewolf that is klaus dad which explains klaus werewolf side and once mikel found out about the affair he killed klaus dads bloodline and treats klaus differently cause he is not his and the mother was basically inlove with klaus dad so he hated him that’s klaus stepdad

Mikael is abusive only to klaus, klaus isn’t his actual son. He found out, and when he found out klaus was part werewolf his hatred for klaus grew because one of his actual sons died by being killed by werewolf’s so he resented klaus for being the beast that killed one of his sons. The other siblings always defended klaus against mikael. It was mostly Elijah and Rebekah though that always protected him. They actually chose klaus over mikael. Klaus is actually their half brother since mikael isn’t his real biological father but ester is his mom though. Ester had an affair with klaus real father Ansel who was a werewolf that’s why klaus is also a werewolf too.

Klaus is definitely a terrible person. There is literally a trial that reveals he has killed a woman for merely snoring too loud then made her daughter a vampire. In the Originals, where he's the protagonist we kind of root for him to become a better person and to protect Hope, but even by the end of the show he's still at best a man who is one bad day away from committing a massacre. Some people argue that he's a good Father and he's actually not bad, but as a person, yeah this guy is a monster. Anyone who disagrees is blinded by their love for the character.

Klaus daggered her because she got involved with Marcel, who he raised. She literally groomed him and Klaus did not want them together.
