I just polished off my rebel last night. I loved every bit of it. At 113 proof it was sweet and friendly. Kind of a short finish. A great value!

Hey neighbor, I live in Springfield, Illinois and lived for years in Champaign. I just bought the Special limited edition binneys barrel pick, which is now 120 proof. This dram is fantastic. All the flavors you described, with a long finish. $49.95 in mid January 2022. Highly recommended; and I loved your review.

There's no way to know the age of the bourbon unless you know when it was dumped out of the barrel (bottled). The age of bourbon is how long it spent in the charred oak barrel. The age is not the duration between when it was barreled and when you open the bottle.

Mike, As many know, MGP distillery is in Indiana. All the Rebel Distiller's bottle labels that I see currently on the shelves - as well as *Ezra Brooks* Distiller's labels and Rebel *Cask Strength* labels - state "Distilled in Kentucky."

So I grab a bottle of this on recommendation, and I love the nose and the start and mid pallet, but the finish threw me, I kept getting a bitter unpleasant finish on the back end. Anyone else experience this?

So would a single barrel store pick like this be sourced? From what I understand the regular rebel and 100 have been in house as of recently?

This particular bottle was contract distilled by Heaven Hill. My understanding is that Lux Row is starting to bottle their own distillate now

I didn't care for the Weller 107, it sat on my shelf for a long time. I was going to try the Rebel, but if the Weller is better, I will skip it.

Awesome video!! Really have the quality and presentation stepped up! I’ll have to round up a bottle of the Rebel... it was everywhere this summer/fall in Indiana and I never did pull the trigger. Hope some stores still have some! Cheers!!

It was good not mind blowing for 50 bucks I payed….I found something way better but is more in the 70 range it’s called hard truth sweet mash rye…if you can get it for cheaper I’d say it’s worth it ,
