They just need to give him a talented writer. Dude is autistic when it comes to human connections in his films.

I don't love everything he's done but always find it interesting and have to 100% agree that he just seems like a good person.

I am glad this isn't Star Wars were he gets hemmed in by the house style. I liked Man of Steel a lot but I'd rather see him take big Snyder swings were, good or bad, it will at least be incredibly interesting.

@@michaelpruitt8666 Fair to say. I loved Sucker Punch look and soundtrack, bit it has the most confusing lack of plot, yet I'll still watch it any day over anything Disney Star wars has done, except perhaps Rogue One.

@@Running-withscissors Mmm, I wouldn't say there was a lack of plot in Sucker Punch. More like Snyder's storytelling...wasn't in-sync with the story the audience believed they were seeing unfold. In the beginning, if you really listen, you'll realise it's Sweet Pea narrating in the voiceover, not Babydoll. Meaning even though we follow Babydoll as the MC from start to end, it's supposed to be Sweet Pea's story. And that's the 'sucker punch' waiting of us at the end. So, like I said, not so much of a lack of plot as the imbalanced treatment in the writing. It also didn't help that when we get to the scene where Sweet Pea and the girls are rehearsing that play, Babydoll is shown to be brought in as a patient. Makes a sort of dissonance for what we'd see in the end. People have a variety of problems with the film, but maybe, just maybe, if the writing had proper consistency, at least the ending twist wouldn't leave a lot scratching their heads, make them think it came out of nowhere.

@@treytilley333 I'm sure he means in more than just the four theaters NETFLIX owns. NETFLIX is on record for declaring that they want to get into the cinema business so that they can make money off of their originals. They are screwing the pooch not putting this in AMCs, Regals, and Alamos.

The story has a real "DUNE" feel too it.

To be fair, no one really knew who Christopher Reeve or Henry Cavill were either, when they got cast.

Were you a big fan of Cavil in 2011 when he was cast?

I didn't know who he was at the time, so I had to wait and see how he did. I liked him as Superman. But we didn't really get to see much of him as Clark, which is a shame, because to me, Clark Kent should always be the main character. Even when he's Superman, you should be able to see Clark through the way he thinks and reacts to stuff. Superman is the mask, but Clark is the real guy.@@Francescojg

She's also a terrific dancer. Her dancing skills is something that would look great and has been rarely seen on the big screen. Sofia will appear next in Argylle and of-course Rebel Moon Part 2.

@DanielThureskog Yes, I've seen some of the clips on RU-vid. All the best to her and her projects. I'm surprised she is not in attached to any super-hero movies, except for Kingsman. She can actually do a lot of her own stunts with ease. Or have her be in John Wick movies or something. Or bring back the Step Up movies... hahaha... I'll take anything while she is still young enough to do all the physical stuff...hahaha...

That didn't yield the results they expected so they're probably not thinking "We wished we spent $300m on a new sci fi film". Nobody's fault, things just didn't work out like everyone hoped

Zack directed 3 films... not sure where you got 3.1B from??? I think your a bit confused or misinformed mate. MOS had a production budget of $225m + at least $100m marketing = 325. it grossed $670m. Take away 50% of the cinemas cut and you get around $335m, which is roughly about $10m in profit for the studio... and that's with a conservative marketing budget. BVS had production budget of $250m + marketing of $150m = $400m. It grossed $874m. Take away 50% of the cinema cut and you get around $437m, which is roughly $37m in profit. I won't go into JL because that film LOST a lot of money via a number of factors. But simple math shows that the first 2 DCEU films featuring WB's BIGGEST characters didn't have good returns at all... and even worse, is that critics and audiences were either divided or disliked the films.... I mean imagine that your livelihood is directly tied to WB and DC's viability for their most important IP, you make the only real business decision you can with the raw numbers in front of you and you change strategy.
