We have seen plenty of stories where Republic work alongside local forces of a planet. Like the Onderon arc and Mon Cala arc.

Multimedia project would be the place to look for this. The TV show kinda only focuses on the clones but we see the odd military group doing it. The movies also show this with us seeing natives of planets fighting with the republic. The Wookies.

Well back then Anakin's age hadn't been established yet and in ROTJ he looked pretty old when we saw his actual face which has only been a few years later from ANH

The actor was about 36, the clone wars ended 19 years before that, so if the actor is the same age as the character hed be 17 during ROTS, and since he never elaborates when he met Anakin, he could be considered a boy, as hed srill be considered a child

Yes but Luke’s uncle tells him straight up his dad was anakin an amazing pilot/warrior who died at the end of the clone wars

It could be as simple as the pilot leader seeing the surname “Skywalker” and just assuming he was somehow Anakin's son

It still makes sense , obi wan only wanted to keep him hidden until he joined the fight against the empire. Once Luke joined word started going around about a skywalker joining the fight. Shortly after this battle the empire learns about Luke (anakins son)

No, deleted scenes aren’t considered canon officially. Too many inconsistencies would arise if they were. Some fans however use them as headcanon.

Anakin couldve been a padawan, making them both boys at the time for sure!

I don’t know Anakin would’ve been around 45 ish and this guy could realistically be 45 to 50 (If he was to old he wouldn’t have been fighting anymore) so it’s possible they could have crossed paths as kids. Another possibility is that George thought Anakin would be much older and then later changed it because I don’t think George had thought that far into the future at this point in time

True. The 19 year gap between episodes 3 and 4 was originally meant to be bigger. This guy is old. So it fits with an original 30+ year gap with an older Vader existing in a new hope.

He probably meant it more as when he was around Luke's age since some older people consider younger men as young, naive, reckless, carefree, etc. "boys".

Were the Naboo clones or Jedi? No, were the people on Onderon clones or Jedi? No

In both legends and canon he's from Virujansi and he was part of the planetary defense force during the clone wars. There's not much about the canon version whether or not he met Anakin but in the legends version his planet was under a conflict and the Separatists invaded. The planet was defended by the Republic and the natives so he got the chance to fly alongside Anakin and Obi-Wan. After the battle the natives considered Anakin a war hero and they basically worshipped him.
