Hi everyone! So as the title and thumbnail suggest, I have created a conceptual RMC Hybrid version of Ghostrider at Knott's Berry Farm. This is not a prediction and I highly doubt Ghostrider will ever RMC'd, at least not anytime in the near future. However, I would still be very interested to see what Knott's + RMC would turn this monster of a coaster into, so I designed this concept and storyline to visualize it myself!

I have always been against a GhostRider RMC overhaul because I've always felt that it is the perfect wooden coaster. That being said, this definitely feels pretty similar to what RMC would likely do for a GhostRider conversion. I am definitely missing the final helix though.

I'm on the Ghostrider fan boy list...doesn't need to be an RMC it's a badass woodie...this should definitely be ground up built tho, good job!!

Thank you! I personally think that Ghostrider is super overrated and not that amazing as is, so that was a pretty big motivating factor for this layout lol

Nice concept! I know no one even asked but for my ghost rider rmc concept, here’s what I did ina quick explanation. Lifthill truss (didn’t use real measurements so I can’t give a real hight or anything) First airtime hill: outerbanked hill First turnaround: underflip Turn towards lift: some sorta wave turn lmao Under the lift is a stall built into the truss And for the scenic turn around, I litterly just copy and pasted Steel vengeances section of track of the first half of the ride that passes underneath of the lifthill if that even made any sense the rest of the ride is random filler things because I was to lazy to come up with nicer elements lmao

Yeah tbh I didn't feel the need to design the tunnel the way it looks irl so I just used a prefab tunnel instead

This coaster looks amazing but their are only 2 flaws. 1 after the mid corse turn around you removed the drop and replaced it with an inversion you should of left that drop and you should of left the final helix too but besides from that its an amazing convertion.

Is there any way to turn the heartline on and off along the layout? I have only been able to have it on the whole time or have it off the whole time.

Well technically it is possible to artificially create heartline by manually rotating the track around the spline. And by leaving automatic heartline turned off, the parts that you want heartline to be removed from will be as said

RU-vid compresses all videos uploaded, reducing their quality greatly. The file that I uploaded is significantly higher quality than here but there's pretty much nothing I can do abt it

This concept is cool and all. But the OG GhostRider is a amazing ride already and the concept removes some of GhostRider's best elements like the drop-off the mid-coarse and the unbanked helix. tldr: GhostRider don't need to be RMC'd.

That's the thing. This is a hybrid concept. Steel track, wooden supports. RMC has done hybrid conversions on MULTIPLE wooden coasters. This concept is actually a pretty realistic representation of what Ghostrider would look like if RMC came in and re-tracked it.
