What was amazing and emotional to me was the fact that what would have been Ahsoka's last act (before being saved by Ezra) was to save Vader/Anakin. Even despite the fact that he was about to strike her down, her last selfless act was to save her master from the explosion by breaking open the floor. He'd have been killed had she not done that.

The reason Ahsoka owes Morai (the convor) her life is because, as revealed by Hydan (the minister), the convor is a servant of the daughter, and the daughter used her last moments to revive Ahsoka.

I think Kanan had one of the better Jedi deaths in history. we kind of knew it was coming but it was still hard to accept. since he went out in style.Great to see they gave 3 episodes to them grieving.

Why did he need to die to become a symbol of hope? He wasn't a symbol of hope in the OT?
@CalicoJackal
@CalicoJackal 6 лет назад
Sam Harrison Not in that sense. His deeds during the OT solidified his status as a legend, the kind parents tell their kids about to inspire them. But at the end of the day he was just a man. By projecting himself to Kylo and the First Order and saving the resistance, he was able to be the legend they needed him to be, instead of just Luke the man. By becoming one with the force he is now, in Obi-Wan's words "more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

What I get from this is that time travel is possible, but it doesn't change destiny. Ahsoka was always meant to be rescued. Kanan had to die when he did and Ezra had to save her and all because of something that we'll probably see next week. So time travel is possible but you can't change anything you weren't always meant to change. You were always part of the events.

In the World between worlds, Ezra heard the past in the voices of Qui-Gon Jinn, Anakin Skywalker, and Yoda, the present in the voices of Jyn Erso, Chirrut Îmwe and Kanan Jarrus and the future in the voices of Leia Organa, Max Kanata, Rey, Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren. I was so happy to see Ashoka is still alive. I look forward to seeing her story continue. I honestly hope that the story of her and Anakin will end on a happy note. Like, they might reconcile before either of their deaths, she might influence his redemption, she will learn of his redemption and death after it happened or even witness it through the Force, or when they die, they’ll find each other in the Cosmic Force and be master and student, good friends and like a family once again. I mean, they’ve been through so much together, and had such a strong bond that I want the relationship between those two to at least on a happier. For example we saw Anakin with Obi-Wan and Yoda. After everything that happened, despite all he had done as Vader, and their doubts about him coming back, they were all friends again. I’m hoping for something similar with Anakin and Ashoka. They deserve it. It’s clear you’ve seen the Clone Wars series, but have you seen The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions? It is the sixth and final season of the series. I think it’s highly likely you did but just in case, you should definitely watch them, especially the last three episodes because they have more focus on the mystical: we see how Yoda learned to become one without the Force, to preserve his consciousness after death. In other words, a Force ghost. If that’s not familiar to you, watch it! We see more insight into the mystical side of Star Wars. If you already have, then I’m foolish. Ashoka lives!
@shelbyvlogssometimes5160

It's interesting to me that the voices we heard were mostly Force-sensitive- and then Jyn Erso and Poe Dameron. My hope is that Anakin will appear to Ahsoka as a ghost after Return of the Jedi and they'll reconcile then. It's a long shot, but I can dream haha. You're right- they do deserve it. Also yes, I love the Lost Missions! I think they demonstrate perfectly that the Clone Wars had /so/ much left to offer and I'm still upset that it was cancelled, all these years later. The Yoda episodes were just so quality and I loved that we got to see Darth Bane and hear Qui-Gon. Also, the Force Priestesses are so cool. (You're not foolish, thanks for the comment!)

shelby vlogs sometimes I am so glad that Ahsoka is still alive. I remember not being able to think straight for a while when I first saw that scene because it hit me so hard. I am very excited to see the future stories of her that they show. Now the last bit I want to mention is one that I dread seeing but is inevitable, when Ahsoka does die. Personally I believe that if they don’t make her a force ghost afterwards then they will have committed a major crime to her character. The only other question is how will she go out? Doing something noble and heroic like Kanan, or passing on peacefully like Yoda does in Return Of The Jedi. I would prefer the latter but the former could still work if they do it right (like if it happens to be a heroic last stand then it has to be the main focus of the episode) but I believe that as long as they take one of those 2 paths and not something stupid like some random bounty hunter or something like that then it will give her a good solid and meaningful ending. If you have any thoughts on this, feel free to let me know.
@andygibbs734

No it doesn’t make sense. Kanan went out like a boss. He was doing something that even Anakin has trouble doing. Saved his family AND completed the mission and shut down the factories on Lothal. How could you not get that?

My issue is more than Kanan has survived so much that no other Jedi has (Vader, for one!) and then died in an explosion. Sure, he saved the others, but he's done that many times before as well. In my opinion, he deserved better. I'm not forcing you to agree with me haha but I can't agree with you either.

@mattb6369
@mattb6369 4 года назад
Considering he personally killed countless children and choked his pregnant wife in Revenge of the Sith, on top of his full intention of striking down Kenobi in A New Hope, I'm not surprised Vader was at such a low point where he was willing to kill Ahsoka. The moment of that conflict that really stands out to me is Ahsoka's bond with her old master was so powerful she was able to bring out a glimpse of the Anakin within for less than a minute, something even Obi-Wan couldn't manage.

this is what i think, i think if ezra didnt pull her out, i think she would have fell along with vader and then went on down the temple and died, but since now i think she lived and i think she will be on the new series coming up. The owl is the daughter because she says it after Ahsoka says her name. I love this version of the force and how it can be used, just shows how deep the force is.
@eurosensazion
@eurosensazion 6 лет назад
Ahsoka simply went back to her present time so her arc begins on Malachor. Filoni mentioned this along with that Kanaan wanted Ezra to save Ahsoka. The prior episode Dumme with the wolf basically states this to Ezra to correct the past to save the future. Kanaan was a true Jedi sacrificed himself. Ahsoka used the words of Yoda "To let go" like he mentions to Anakin in prequels.

I thought Kanan's death was underwhelming (why not place a couple of charges in the fuel depot and am-scray?), but I get what the writers were going for. His death didn't just buy time for the rest of the team to survive, but also wrecked the TIE Defender program. This put the Death Star program into operation, and the rest is (film) history. For once the light side of the Force was subverting the plans of the dark side by restricting its scope of action, rather than vice-versa. I just don't think the creative team pulled off the foreshadowing successfully. Kanan cutting his hair was an interesting image, at least. Cutting one's hair in Japanese culture signifies an impending, dramatic life change. Perhaps the wolf was whispering "Doom" (i.e. fate), and not "Dume".

Anyone think that The Emperor set up Kanan's death in order for Ezra to be sent to The World Between Worlds? In order for *himself, Darth Sidious* to take control of the realm of time and space? I mean, take a look at the thing above the portal that had shown the death of Caleb Dume.... I don’t know why people are worrying so much about this time travel thing. The World Between Worlds is a very physical manifestion of the Force as an omnipresent energy field that binds everything together. And access to the place is very limited. It should not open the door to crazy time travel scenarios set in the Star Wars universe.

Time travel was been hinted by emperor palpatine when he is tempting young jedi skywalker back on episode 3 about how he can save padme. It was not clear then but it was this power of the force that trancend time and space.

Ok. So i am going to start with Kanans death. I can understand wanting him to have a better death. Though i think that his death wasnt so bad. In a comment of yours you write that he has survived worse. Here is the thing though. He has. But not Hera,Ezra and Sabine. That explosion would have killed them. And it was a big explosion. A giant gas tank exploded. So overall i thought his death was fine. Next we have Ahsoka. There are 2 things about her in this episode that kinda worked as negatives for me. The first is the fact that she recognises the daughter. I think that owl is a manifestation of the daughter though a lot more weaker than she was when she was alive. In the Mortis episodes of Clone Wars once the ordeal ends Anakin,Obi-Wan and Ahsoka lose their memories of the place and all that transpired. So for her to be able to remember the daughter is a continuation error. The second issue is that we dont find out what happens to her. The scenario in my head that i wish would happen is that she manages in the timeskip between seasons 2 and 4 to escape Malechor and after that she decides to not participate in the War against her Master (who she saved on Malachor by driving Vader as far away as possible from the epicenter of the explosion) and goes to leave a peaceful life away from war in the planet where she went when Anakin was injured (during 2 episodes of the first season of Clone Wars...some pacifist lemour like creatures lived there). And at some point Vader senses her location, finds her, sees her but decides to not attack her and instead leaves. Thats the scenario i would like to happen (i might get lucky and have that shown in the final episodes). Now as for the Force. The Force is light and darkness. It is not purely one side as the Jedi and Sith think. It is a mix with many shades of grey. Bendu was one such creature. And so are the wolves. In the episodes we are told that they do not care about the War or the Galaxy. They do what is necessary for the well being of their home which is Lothal. Even the gate to the Zone (thats how i call the world between worlds) shows that. If you are of pure light or pure darkness you will not be able to enter. Hence why Palpatine couldnt enter. Had Ezra not weakened the defenses with the activation of the gate Palpatine wouldnt have managed to partially enter via Sith sorcery. And in the episode Ezra learned from both sides. The Light showed him that he must learn to accept loss and pain and in the end the Darkness showed him how to protect the ones he cares about from his foes. Balance. So what do you think about all this that i typed? Will you be making a video aabout the finale as well?

For your question about Ahsoka being stuck on malachor, I think she is not. Remember 2 years ago after the season 2 final dave filoni shared some picture cards about what was Ahsoka doing or searching in there. On the last picture she was in a circle between wolves. I didn't understood that time but I do now, there's a possibility she found another portal so that way she can teleport another place or a temple outside malachor.

She's detatched from the Rebellion, she had two years to find a way off Malachor and return to the crew and she never did, which means that she's either 1: trapped on Malachor, which for some reason i /highly/ doubt or 2: on a journey to learn more about this side of the Force, the side that lets people time travel and walk through portals and hear voices from all of time and space. This one seems more likely to me. If they were going to kill her on Rebels, they should have let Vader do it. Now I'm 100% sure she'll survive the show.

I don’t think we see Ashoka again this series. Maybe the next series.

Ahsoka couldn't return to the crew because she knows Ezra doesn't see her till he goes to the portal, otherwise it would change her fate where Ezra may not go to the portal to save her. Same reason Ezra couldn't save Kanan because if he does Ezra dies and can't save Ahsoka so she also dies.

Yeah, this does sort of raise the question of where certain Rebels characters were during the events of the OT. I think people pointed out that the Ghost and Chopper made cameos during Rogue One, so I suppose Hera and the Ghost crew were still just actively fighting with the Rebels during the war. But what about Ahsoka? I mean, Ahsoka is not technically a Jedi so Yoda's line about Luke apparently being the last jedi in ROTJ still applies I guess, but still, Ahsoka kind of is unaccounted for.

I’m sorry if kanan death was cheap but like ahsoka said kanan found the moment where he was needed most and he what he had to do for everyone and the wolf knew the future of what would come to pass if he not done that sure I didn’t want him to die but the other opportunity would have been much worse than this

I'd like to know how you think Kanan could have gone out better? I thought it was the ultimate Jedi thing to do in sacrificing himself like he did. If you have a better way I'd really enjoy hearing it.
@shelbyvlogssometimes5160
@shelbyvlogssometimes5160 6 лет назад
Hey, thanks for being respectful, not everyone else has been. It may have been the ultimate Jedi thing to do, but like, they literally only killed him so we would have this whole arc about grief. Kanan didn't have to die in that explosion. He's survived worse. (Vader? The inquisitors? Torture? Hell Maul almost beheaded him in season 2 and he lived through that.) They could have handwaved a situation where he survived this too. Kanan sacrificing himself for his family is not entirely a bad concept, but I would have preferred him to go out in a way that was... grander, I suppose. I don't have any solid ideas in mind, but I would have involved the wolves, somehow. They're clearly closely tied to Kanan. Also? You want to give Palpatine a shining moment where he actually does something terrible? Have /him/ kill Kanan.
@SaladVonBaco
@SaladVonBaco 6 лет назад
Kanan had to go to fit with continuity of the saga and yes I agree they could have done something different with the wolves perhaps but I fear that the split fandom might have had more issues with that if they did. Although I think the way he went out was grand enough I must say that your idea of Palpatine doing the job is pretty good. I would have been very ok with that. Thanks for replying.

I have a few questions after watching this episode. How will Ahoska know when is the right time to go meet Ezra and the rest? How will Ahsoka get off that planet? Will she use Uber or something like that?
@alexboehm3919
@alexboehm3919 6 лет назад
michael100880 there were 3 inquisitors on the planet, and each one had to have come in their own ship. Maul took one ship, but even if Vader took another one, there would still be one more inquisitors tie for Ashoka to use to escape

I think Kanan's death was a bit crap. It was a situation he could have easily gotten out of. I like it when main characters are given simple deaths, as it's a more truthful representation of life, but they tried to drag it out for drama and in a way, because of that, it seemed like he had a large window of opportunity to escape. HOWEVER, I'm glad that we FINALLY have an impacting death within the crew. It's FINALLY added the necessary drama needed to make the threat real and the characters conflicted! Death was shit, impact of the death on the show is top notch!

he had like a millisecond to decide...jump on ship with them and force push the entire ship away from the fire (my preference because i didn't want him to die) but there was no guarantee doing that would've saved them, it could've killed them all . but doing what he did guaranteed their survival and there's no better way to go than to save the ones you love.

PONER THIS. I think Ahsoka will be rescued from malachor, by Rex and the ghost crew. Remember Maul took the only other ship there, beside Vader's. in other words, she was trapped or stranded on malachor. That's the reason we have not seen her, until now. I also think Ezra and Ahsoka will come up with a different way to bring Kanan back, by entering, the malachor nexus point, in order to go back in events. And advise Kanan to use his force push powers, in multiple different directions, when it comes time that he must save Hera and the others, just before the fuel tank explodes, Thus, creating a force bubble of sorts, with himself contained within and pushed off at a distance during the explosion. I seen the force bubble in episode 10, while Kanan had his arms apart holding Hera and the flames back. Then he turned to push her away using both hands. If he would not have turned to her and pushed her and the ship back, the force bubble could have saved his life. I also believe this is what Kanan was trying to tell Hera in episode 10. To not follow him when this happens. Another possibility would be this, after Ezra and Ahsoka enter the malachor nexus point, they find the portal of Kanan’s point of death, and Ahsoka jumps in and creates this force bubble. Thus, saving both their lives. When the explosion pushed them both off at a distance. A true representation of the force within.
