Another don't: Never, ever leave your baby alone with small children. Because these are dolls, children may think they are toys and think they can play with them as if they're those dolls from Walmart. Always make sure children are closely supervised and are never allowed to touch or pick up the baby without permission.
A quick questions. At what age do you think it's okay for a child to have one of those dolls? Like about 13 or 14 and up? :) Just wondering, or does it depends on the child maturity. :)
I just happened upon your channel while researching something and found this really great video. I just subbed to your channel and look forward to watching more of your videos. I’ve been a collector for only a couple years now and wish I had seen this before I started collecting. These are some very helpful and awesome tips. I’ve always been super careful with my babies and am so glad to know that I haven’t done any of these don’ts. I’ve heard so many horror stories where people didn’t really know what they were doing and inadvertently damaged their baby. So heartbreaking. Anyway, Brinley is so adorable. Do you still have her in your nursery? Sorry if that question sounds stupid. I noticed that this is a rather old video and not everyone keeps every baby they have required. If you like, please feel free to stop by my nursery. I love showing off my babies. ❤️❤️
Oh wow this is a blast to the past! Thank you for watching! My mom has this doll now! I still have a large collection though! I’ll come visit your channel! Thank you!
@@weebiedolls Isn’t it funny how even five years later, someone can stumble upon a video? I’m sure it’s one that probably comes up when someone is looking for care tips for their reborn, especially if they are a new collector. I’m so glad your mom is enjoying Brinley. My mom keeps threatening to come over and steal one of my babies. LOL. It’s awesome that you still have a large collection to enjoy. My collection has gotten somewhat large and let me tell you, it takes a lot of clothes to dress a lot of babies. 😄😄😄 I hope you enjoy my channel. I love showing off all my babies.
Excellent video 👍🏼 it's very helpful!!! My daughter is waiting to get her first vinyl reborn doll and we are new to this reborn community and we were looking for this kind of information. Once again thanks for taking the time to make these kind of videos.👍🏼
im really really excited to get my first reborn ill answer how much i like it when i get it (pls give notification so i don't forget) also tysm for the tips
I washed my baby clothes in cold water with dreft, will that prevent color transfer on my reborn? I have dark blues and dark greys that I'm kind of worried about. Should I wash again? Or will they be okay?
Either is perfectly fine. It’s really a matter of preference. I use disposable because I haven’t been able to afford enough cloth ones for my large collection yet but the thing about disposable is you have to change them every now and then as they tend to break down after some months. Eventually I’d like to get some cloth ones.
Thanks for all the information. I love videos like these especially from my veteran sisters who have been around and know the ropes. I've been in this community a little over a year and still love to listen and learn because you can never know too much! Stay blessed💕
Thank you i just got my reborn being shipped today omg i am so excited about it can't wait and again for showing tips on how to take proper care of the precious babies !!!
She is so pretty, her dress is beautiful. Some great tips there. I have tried to dress them from the bottom up but I just couldn't get the hang of it, I will give that another go it will be very handy for the babies with routed hair 😊 x
You are correct, I did like it not only because it was long but great do's and don't tips!!!! Love that you did this, as mommy to two of the babies I created this brought me so much joy knowing how you care for all of your babies!!!! Glad you took the time to do this and share with all of us!!!! Great video!!! Hugs
Thank you for these helpful tips! I've been seeing videos where mommy's wash the babies hair or bathe the baby. I've been so scared to even wash them down with a damp baby wash cloth. So thank you for your tips
Thank you for the tips!! I knew most of them, but I like to know ''why'' we shouldn't do this or that and you explained yourself very well about that! Thanks again!! :)
Do you know anything about Lee Middleton dolls ? I have had many but never had to clean one. I now have only one it is called "isn't it Fun" it was produced only one day, March 19,2002, so he's 15 years old. I'm afraid any dirt would be abrasive. How do I care for him? Hair too? Thank you
I'm getting my reborn toddler, and it does have curly hair, what do you recommend for curly hair? I'm a little worried worried, she has a lot of hair!!
l made a reborn toddler and she had curls l used baby conditoner on her hair just a little Do not use a comb to style as you could pull the hair out.The artist making your reborn should send care instructions ask if they are included l always add care instuctions for the reborn
You mentioned my bunny, haha (she broke out by the way, I wouldn't let her near the babies without supervision) :D I pretty much agree with everything. Especially in the German community I see so many people using water and baby care products on a daily basis and even making videos about how that is good and important for your reborn. It makes me cringe to see that :/ I'm super paranoid about my babies getting damaged, especially the HAIR which is why I'll probably go all painted hair. That's the only thing where real babies are easier to handle - their paint won't come off, stains can be washed out without the skin taking damage and if their hair falls out new hair will grow ;)
Aw I couldn't remember whose bunny .. Poor baby boo. And yeah I see people putting lotion and shampoo and I literally cringe. The paint will not hold up to that treatment. But hey if people love that kind of realism that's their prerogative they just need to be aware it will shorten the "life span" of their reborn. :)
I love these tips Wendy. I recently purchased my first reborn at a very small doll show...once I get my reborn channel up and running I would love to show him to you.🤗 I'm working on it now...maybe someday you could make one for me? Are you still taking orders? My dream baby is a Saskia..boy..fair hair...brown eyes.. like my son back in the day 💙 lol!
whooohoohahahah!!!!!!!!!! girl..ain't that the truth ..me too! omgoodness!.. you're gonna make me pee!! lolol!! i had to do my hair, my best friends.. my nana's ..my friend's mother's!!.lololo true story!..lololo
Kristen Moore I don’t own a silicone but I’ve seen lots of other people bathing them and such so I think a full body silicone should be ok to put in the pool. My concern would be the chlorine harming the paint though so I am not sure about that part. Sorry, I’m not sure I only have reborns lol 😊
FlowerXOXO like a nursery? It's up to you! Depends on how much space you have and how much money you want to spend. The main thing is a place to display the baby. Like a bassinet, crib, pram, basket.... storage for clothing and such. A change table is nice. A chair or rocking chair is nice.
beverly Umphlett for certain styles they're ok, with a bit of water especially parts you want straight. I don't use it much because I tend to like a lot of curls lol
