We are not lacking in recognition of European culture. It seems to me most blacks have had their culture and heritage through slavery stripped from them. The whole thing is not really about color, but about culture, social beliefs, religious beliefs, etc. The fallacy is that It's all about color. Why don't white upper middle class people live in dilapidated inner cities? Because of the color of the people in the cities (largely black and Latino where I'm from)? I would say no.
