I've owned 3 of these and after a good 5+ years of regular use (2-8 hours a week?), it's always that part that starts to leak. This video has helped make a great compressor even better!
I had to take the head off my Mac5200. When I put it back together the reed valve on the input to the tank got slightly crooked, no pressure build up. So make sure those little reeds are perfectly straight upon re assembly. Duh
The name of this video says rebuild a compressor. You haven’t even touched the compressor. You’re taking all these rabbit trails you were in the compressor, at the very beginning, looking right at the valves that I wanted to replace, but you didn’t say a word about them thumbs down.
