We are looking at rebuilding my 750cfm e85 4150 carburetor. this carburetor has been installed in my 600hp turbocharged ls swapped dodge w100. Its time to give the carburetor a refresh so rebuilding the 4150 carb is on the to do list. The carb in question is a proform 750 race series carburetor that was designed as an e85 carburetor. the process of rebuilding an e85 carburetor and gasoline carburetor are largely the same so I hope you can use the info shown in this video to help build your own carburetor.

The cheapest way to convert your carburetor to E85 guaranteed. In this video I will be going in detail by detail as to what it takes to convert a regular gasoline 4150 style holley, proform, quickful, AED, etc. To E85. The gas to e85 conversion has been discussed several times but each time it ends with you having to buy more and more parts. I'm here to tell you that that is not necessary and here are the tips that you will need to successfully convert your carb to e85 laid out in this video. The carburetor in this video was provided by @PROFORMParts but this video is my own doing with no input from Proform.

Great video set. My 4150 is brand new but nice to see all the "guts" and how they work.

Life saver and absolute ledgend. Doing a proform main body conversion and seaching for why proform supplied 66 and 78 main jets. Watched this and just noticed my new main body has that lead plug in the secondary. I've got Holley metering blocks and 4 corner idle and power valves so guess ill drill out that plug. I'm thinking ill go back to the standard 73 jets front are rear for the first start. Proform instructions are vauge to say the least and the net is full of people with problems on their retrofit install and no one mentions this plug....makes me wonder if this is their problem. Appriciate your thoughts if you get the time. Cheers from Australia.

Hey man, I just saw this message. I would not bother with a secondary power valve unless you are trying to dial in your staging at the drag strip. All my naturally aspirated carbs have a front power valve and no rear power valve. makes for tuning, much easier. If you know your old set up took 73 jets in the primary, I would start there and leave the 78 jets in there and try it. Adding the second power valve is too much work for not a lot of gain IMO. Good luck!
