I know I said your DBS modification project was my favorite RU-vid project, but this one is just as interesting. It simply that this channel is going more bespoke, craftsmanship focused, not simply making it shoot flames, crazier, etc. Love the content of this channel. Absolutely top shelf. With Logic Paint you can literally have an ultra high end paint job with any paint combination that you could dream of, all the while preserving the original factory paint. I mean if that’s not amazing, what is! Not to mention a myriad of Logic tinted carbon, that preserves the original factory carbon. Crazy cool

Why in the world would you lay down a removable membrane before "painting" the car? It's so much time and effort being spent on the actual paint job, so why not just make it permeant? If the car were to get a nasty scratch let's say, wouldn't it go through the membrane and make repainting it harder if not impossible? Also, I find it hard to believe that the quality of the paint looks as good on the membrane as it would directly on the panels. Wouldn't the overall thickness be greater because it's not directly on the panels?

i am still wondering if the car is gonna have fake scoops on the bonnet. cant be putting fake aero after putting in that much work in actually modding the car to be better

On the fade we discussed - it was ‘flicked’ in on the front arches and simply different colour sills and bumper with no transition - it wasn’t for lack of talent, incredible work but a full body transition would look better - in my eyes 🤷🏻♂️👀
How long theoretically could the paint last? I just can't get over the cost vs time realistically it should stay on the car before risking issues when taking it off. Looks mega though, night and day to a wrap.
Does the peelable layer you first put on the car - for the real automotive paint to go on - degrade quicker or at the same rate as real automotive paint? Does it have an expiry life when used?
@@MrJWW Just winding you up a little as it probably makes more sense to get bot standard colors from McLaren and then getting the ‘McLaren’ color from you for a fraction of the price. I saw a 488 a few weeks ago at cars and coffee in Santa Barbara with this paint film whatever you call it. I honestly could not believe it wasn’t from factory or had a full re-resorts. Crazy stuff
@@MrJWW The Velocity is probably the best looking 720 I have seen despite being one of the first (Geneva??) btw. Very jealous and guessing it was an absolute bargain compared to the original sticker price.
Sorry but slating McLaren's exceptional work to then steal their idea and promote one's company is a step too far. You also neglected to mention the fade on the Velocity visual carbon bonnet/hood.
The exhaust sounded rubbish too so we swapped that out and the wheels sucked so they are gone and the styling wasn’t aggressive enough so we’ve got a new body kit for it, any opinions on those things we didn’t like too? 🤓
@@MrJWW totally different, changing wheels, exhausts etc is commonplace and does not devalue the exceptional work the MSO team do. Not the point of my comment at all. Should have bought an LT instead! 😄
