Beautiful build and nice bit of improvisation! Good idea about adding the aluminum reinforcement. It's similar to that of a truss rod on a guitar neck.

Thank you! Hope it works how intended and will be nice and flat for a long time.

Great job! Came out very nice. I believe the cupping happened because the wood was lying on the floor. The air was not allowed to flow under the panel. Stickering them may help.

Thank you! Yeah that makes totally sense. Next time I'll give them more air.

I've had good luck laying a wet towel on top of cupped boards to get them back to flat. After taking the towel off I clamped them down to a work bench.

@@whitexeno Sounds like a good idea I'll try it next time. Thank you for the comment appreciate it :)

Please don't wear glowes when you are working with routher table or tablesaw. There is hight risk of the gloves getting catch and sucked in to the bit or saw blade. By putting them off you will greately decrese the risk of injury. Try to use some paddles or something else to avoid cutting your hands by sharp eges of wood.

Yeah I should stop that. Thank you!

@@buildable_ definitiv.

about the aluminum reinforcement. i i think it would be better to screw the metal in the slot and not glue it. because the wood is expanding sideways and through the resin that is no longer possible. so i think to let it expand it would be the best to screw it together. furthermore i think it would be good to not only have a hole in the metal for that but more of a small slot. so the screw can move with the expansion of the wood and doesn’t get clamped by the metal.

Thank you! That seams logical. I´ll keep that in mind next time!
