The fact that the sub count says 325,000 is almost a crime. All the little watch me play this, or I saw this person do that channels with millions of subs, it’s not right. You guys don’t deserve those subs, you’ve earned them. Always top quality editing and content. At least Cleetus helped bring you guys into the light more. You have a 2JZ SXS that raced the Hoonicorn for crying out loud. It’ll come. Keep going boys.
Love the channel but one trick ponies only go so far. When these guy's make a video about something other then SXS content they always say something like it isn't their normal content as if it was a bad thing. The truth is you have to have some amount of variety in their video's if they want to draw in more subscribers. There are only so many willing to subscribe to a channel all about SXS which many people can't afford to own. $15,000 for a rolled clapped out ride is a perfect example. RU-vid has created an unrealistic feeling of wealth for most viewers. That is why so many of us watch the video's of people doing thing or enjoying things most of us could never afford to buy. If you watch just the channel's with 500,000 subscribers or more you get the impression most people can afford to own the same things when in reality most never will. I have seen so many channel's announce they quit their day to day jobs to do RU-vid full time as soon as they get 100,000 subscribers. Between what they make from youtube "getting less all the time", endorsements, merch from their channel. Content creator's are making a lot of money. Enough they quit their normal Job's.
Alot of people raced the hoonicorn now what we need is the views to go up .. while the subs are cool the views are what make the money so as long as they come and watch at the end of the day that's what helps the most
I ordered the shirt a week ago. I bought my Turbo S in no small part because of Project 168, was tickled when Doug built Battlefield. Leo nailed it. The car is part of the brand, and part of the legacy of the Blog. Seeing it sit there at copart and knowing what its future was, well...not the best business decision, but the only one to make none the less. Look forward to watching it rise again. Doug, ya gotta build another light bar. Ya just have to...
What y'all should is is put the name of each person who bought the "I know what I have shirt" on the car somewhere it's like we're racing in the car also
Take a bunch of new/used parts and put it back together.. Don't paint them..Rename it Frankenstein. Let Frankie drive it. Then every time he crashes he gets another part of whatever random color it came in. If its got wheels Frankie can crash it....
Am I the only one that didn’t think nothing of it when they were doing it. Heck it didn’t even register as the least bit sketchy to me and still don’t. Maybe I’m just used to doing that type of stuff my whole life heck they didn’t even have the chunkiest guys hanging off the forklift as counter weight
If I ranked all the SXS Blog guys, I’d have Doug’s name front and center. Then about 15-20 blank pages of lines. Then the rest of the guys. Dude’s the freekin man.
Im happy good ol battlefield is back where she belongs and couldn't be in better hands and thats fo sho!! She'll be back rippin in no time, its what you guys do! I for one have faith it'll be better and badder!!! EXCITED 😁
Battlefield needs love. It only shows you can't play Frankie on driving after looking at the cost of fast driving. Did you ever find out who had it? My favorite sub of all time. Thanks for the co tent. Will check out garage channel and see the drive home. Take care guys!
I've got the shirt on as I am typing this. I'm extremely excited to find out what my role is in the build (besides helping to fund it). Can't wait to see it ripping again!
This machine is back in the right hands for sure, I cant wait to see it back in action. P.S. You guys should number the shirts in the order they were purchased, I think that would be cool.
Excellent public service message. I own a body shop and am on Copart all the time, lately mainly for sleds and rzrs. I have no idea what the people bidding on this stuff that don’t have the reasons you guys did to pay that much are thinking. For one thing Copart are expert picture takers. For two, everyone and I mean everyone will be shocked when they see how much it will actually cost to fix it right. Thanks for sharing, hopefully all the bidders are subscribers so I can win an auction or two😂
For getting battlefield back, basically perfect all in for under $30,000, at that, under $25,000, that’s AMAZING! Can’t get a new RR in Canada for under $40,000
These things are ridiculously expensive. Both initially and to maintain/fix. Idk how people can afford them. Seems like @ $15k was a raw ram. Couldn’t even part it out and get that back. Glad you guys ended up with it though. No one else would be fixing it up.
What you should do is an old school actual breakdown video on how to fix some of those things. That’s how I found your channel way back when love what it has grown to but miss the learning content also.
Sucks this happened to Battlefield I wish I could have won it I would have given her a great home since I had to sell my sxs due to a illness...great to see her back in your hands
Doug you could make some really sick aluminum mirrors and you can just buy a cheap mirror at your local hardware store and a glass cutter and custom cut your glass for your mirror that you made I think you could make some pretty sick looking mirrors out of aluminum
My shirt delivered last week, my wife is wearing it and Im out working driving a big truck and I haven’t seen it yet! I might need to order another. Damn women, 😂
You can also get stainless steel mirrors believe it or not and they're not glass they won't break I don't know if you can get them for a side by side but you can get them and then customize them for a side-by-side
Build it with better suspension components, and build it to compete in KOH! You're most of the way there now, just gotta do a few more mods, and you'll be having a blast at the races!!
This is what happens when you give someone your pride and joy...... And then leave it on an open trailer for all and sundry to help themselves to parts off it..... I'm not a hater at all, love you guys and the content you work so hard to bring us,i just feel there could be a couple lessons to be learned here mann. All in I'm sorry for the huge tough breaks that Florida turned into and I KNOW you guys will bounce back from this. Perhaps give aways in the future could be new build stuff as opposed to giving away pieces of your soul ta know??
What you should do is let the people know what a brand new machine like that would cost versus what you're going to have into it and what you paid for it give them some kind of an idea if it's worth it or not
