Rebuilding the Datsun's carburetor 

The DCH-328 refers to the carburetor size, yours is the "smaller" one. The bigger DCH-340 was used on the l20b engines (among others) and ive read that carb flows similar to the Weber 32/36

Just for reference you dont need to remove thr air cleaner lid to remove the air cleaner on a Datsun. Just loosen the clamp wingnut clamp on the side and the whole assembly comes off. Wish all carburetor cars had the Datsun air cleaner setup :)

Good job, they are a fussy carb. did you adjust choke, float level, idle speed, and idle mixture as per sheet in rebuild kit?

2 versions of this carb......one had an electric anti diesel solenoid and the one you have which I think is also an anti diesel solenoid

did my carburetor on my 84 Nissan 720 a couple days ago. Had leaking accelerator pump ended up with one more leak from the fuel inlet my gasket kit didn't have a gasket for the accelerator pump and or the outer gasket for the fuel bowl.. would like to get a piece of glass for mine, just has a sight hole. My carb didn't have that tiny fuel filter for the fuel inlet tube.

Omg this color truck was mine back in 1986 geeez to have it again. 1969 PL521 truck upgraded to the L16 engine but still having the 4:56 to 1 ratio rear end.
