To be fair the quest 2 has better resolution and tracking than the rift S, all the rift has going for it is since it's PCVR you can run better looking games, but that requires a beefy PC and still, the resolution is lower Although there are definitely better VR headsets than the quest, though much much more expensive
Heres a tip for recording on meta quest 2, go to settings, experimental, then go to frame rate, and change it to lanscape so you can have a fulll view when ur recording
I used to play on Xbox series x but now I'm on quest 2 and I can agree but sniping (no scope) is better on screenmode because he can hold his hand still
The graphics on quest 1 and quest 2 are the same, with some lighting improvements for quest 2. But the quest 2 is generally better to play because it has a much better display and lenses, and better controller tracking.
honestly, the quest 2 plugged into a pc with high-end gpu (3080 in my case) paired with third-party hardware modifications (or a custom BOINC config) to get the quest 2's CPU and GPU to collaborate with your main host PC gives insane graphics with tons of frames (240 or so), you should try this out if you're running on low fps.
@Aliquet quest or quest 2, all the wireless ones, not sure if PSVR, HTC Vive, Valve Index and those other headsets have wireless/independent processing units built in to the headset.
the switch is amazing and i realy want to play rec room on it so my brother can play to and i under stand if it dosent work but rec room is saying that rec room needs voice chat but you can just use quick chat and you can use a headset and it will have to be screen mode but i dont mind it will still run the game fine if you optimize the game like you did with the ps4 and xbox. that's all im going to say goodbye everyone
wait is rift actually better than quest 2- *starts scribbling on christmas list* but honestly, my quest 2 has fallen APART in only a year. could i get like cons of rift? i rlly wanna know if itll run smoother for rec room and not break as easily as the frickin quest 2. and will it also run smoother on other games that aren't rec room, like beat saber or gorilla tag? tyyy!! love the videos gecko! keep up the good work

Dumb thing about this is that a Quest 2 is still better than Rift on PCVR. If he means the quest 2 Rec Room app then yes thats a downgrade and he's correct.
I hate rec room on mobile because the phone gets really hot after like 5-10 minutes of playing. Luckily I asked for a rift for Christmas so hopefully I’ll get one
The rift is NOT better then the quest 2, the rift has: lower resolution, lower FOV, (etc)(both meaning that it looks worse then if you just linked to the quest 2) the rifts are heavily outdated, and can’t produce anything close to what even standalone rec room looks like
I don’t know if this man’s title is stupid Fem because the rift is a PCVR headset does it mean is the greatest of all time it’s old now and technically speaking the quest 2 has better lenses then the rift So if anyone wants an upgrade don’t get a rift just get a PC and a cable
