Stott was definitely the unsung hero in the game. Made a great defensive play that saved a run and that triple that gave the team the lead. Sánchez was relieved at the right time, the Mets were hitting him hard in his last inning. Stott and Harper made a couple of great defensive plays that saved him.
The Phillies fans mean well when they boo players. They do it to inspire them when they think that the player isn't 'locked into' the game they are playing. It is not a personal thing. They even did it to Schmidt a lot too.
Ruben got that dawg in him! But I totally agree. It’s not about feelings, it’s about winning. Otherwise, Taijuan, who seems like a great dude, would be on the postseason roster. He’s not because he gives no chance of winning. Not saying Stott is worthless as Taijuan but just using as an example of the mindset that needs to be had in the postseason to succeed.
My girlfriend loved Bohm’s little butt wiggle he used to do as he’s ready to swing. I’ve noticed he’s didn’t do that last night. Connection? Tense? Somebody tell him to loosen up!
