Awesome. My primary goal is to finish my Writing Studio Shed. It's 50%. I have been working on it everyday since November by myself. Good job on your goals.🎉

Awesome recap and goals for 2024, Madeine! It's inspiring to see how far you've come and your determination to continue growing as a writer. I LOVE that for you and want that for myself too. Also, I can relate to the need for balance in life and wanting to take better care of ourselves. We are literally twin goals haha! You have some ambitious and well thought out goals and thank you for being proud of yourself! I think that is super duper important that you are your best cheerleader! Best of luck, and I look forward to following your journey and learning from your experiences! 📚✨💪

Aww thank you so much! I really tend to get in a rut if I don't take the time to celebrate what I've accomplished. And I wish you the best with those goals too! It's not easy but definitely worth it 😊

Happy New Year! My big goal is to finish my first draft by March, and go through revisions/be ready to query by the end of the year!

I had somebody absolutely *trash me* for not sharing with my kids, but after the transferred sicknesses I do *not* share anything that goes into either of our mouths. Noooooo thank you. As for dealing with the heat (something I struggle with horribly. Like if the heater is too high in the winter i struggle too): I make sure I'm incredibly hydrated, I have a handkerchief that I keep soaked and around my neck, and I stick to the shade as much as I can and that makes it a bit more manageable! I think the best goal for any craft is to learn how to do it better (in terms of process and knowledge of the thing). As long as I'm continually moving forward it doesn't really matter how far I've gone with it.

Yeah I used to love sharing... Never againnn. And those are good suggestions for the heat, I'll need to try them. Thank you n

good luck for the new year and all your shiny goals! Mine are still a little nebulous but definitely around centering myself in my life, rather than prioritising everyone else. As for writing while kids have activities, notebooks! I write by hand when that's easiest or the classes are shorter. If it's something a bit longer and it's easy enough, I'll take my laptop. Often it can be a decent time to get a little work done, or some research or whatever (unless you get caught up talking with other parents).

That makes a lot of sense, claiming those bits of time when I can will have to be important. And I think centering things around you sounds like a great goal for the year! I wish you the absolute best of luck 😊

I enjoyed your recap and your 2024 goal-setting. When you were talking about migraines (I occasionally have them too but the auras-version where I can't see and usually solve by drinking water) I wondered if you could relate this to writing. Maybe it's a side effect of magic. My point is (I hope I'm making it clear) when you were reviewing your year you were identifying challenges, how you felt about them and how you solved them; which is what our characters do too. So, there's lots of inspiration and opportunities to bring how we feel and how we cope into our writing. My goals for 2024. 1. Contact more publishing agents for my book 'The Shadow of Memory'. 2. Start the editing of 'The Shadow of The Demoness'. 3. Keep world-building for "The Parliament of Stars" (and I've just this moment found its title so thank you for subconsciously helping me find it) and start brainstorming the story ideas. 4. Personal goals. Health: find out ways to eat that work with my tummy (just signed up for specialist support so I'm confident it's going to be much better) so I get more energy. Read more. Support my daughter as she continues becoming an amazing woman. Take a holiday as I haven't had one for years (I can't remember when so one is probably due). Keep learning German. Try not to write long comments on your channel. Oops. 😊

So glad I could help with the title 😂 and yeah, I definitely have a couple story ideas that draw inspiration from my migraines but they aren't really fully formed yet. And I am rooting for you taking a holiday, you definitely need it!
