Most of the story will become clear the moment you near the end... Bayonetta is already awakened from her 500 Year Beauty Sleep and has spent the last 20 Years trying to find out who she was and she has finally gotten a lead from Enzo by the time the game starts... It doesn't really tell us explicitly that she is an amnesiac hero who spent 20 years after awakening trying to find a lead to her Identity... In fact one of her conversations with Jeanne in Bayo 1 highlights how she was still unaware about the true nature of some of her abilities, and called them powers which Jeanne laughs at since it was all Magic...

i'm guessing bayonetta 3 takes place in that split timeline because apparently you play as Cereza (aka the grown up version of kid bayonetta)

No, she just so happens to look almost exactly like her mom, Rosa, which is why Cereza, her past self, mistook Bayonetta as her mother.

The Anime movie adaptatiin has some deviations from the plot of the main game, but the beats if the story are easier to digest. The only significant difference is the main villain's motivations (as the movie was made before the sequel gave more context)

Well almost everyone owns a switch now and the switch runs perfectly fine. It’s ironic how you’d want it to go to other consoles when no company was wanting to make it an exclusive during the time when the franchise was in a crisis until Nintendo claimed to help by making it an exclusive. I hate to sound like a Nintendo fan but there’s no denying the fact that Nintendo basically saved the entire franchise.

@@eyyyy3265 True, they did save the franchise, not gonna deny that, I would rather have it be an exclusive on Nintendo than to see the franchise end. I dont mind playing it on Nintendo, I just want a slightly more powerful hardware, capable of 1080P and 60FPS ☺....Nintendo switch pro to be exact.
