You guys make an American want move to the UK. Ryan's sincerity talking about how much that show meant for the hobby over there was heart warming. You guys are absolutely essential for the hobby worldwide.
Ryan always seems like one of the most genuine people out there. The way he spoke of his experience with the woman who has Tourette’s just shows he’s such a thoughtful & kind person.
So, its water change day and therefore I'm listening to The Prestige Reef Dork Show, but its water change day with a difference as I have a brand spanking new Red Sea G2+ where one of my freshwater tanks used to be! After nearly 50 years, off and on, of keeping freshwater aquariums I now have my very first marine tank which is more exciting than it should be. To blame for this are BRSTV, Reef Dork and my daughter who has a fledgling interest in marine biology and her own nano reef tank. We went to AQUAH which was great and also played its part in convincing my partner an expensive variation was a good idea. :)
27:43 I’m late coming to this video but I was wearing a Julian Sprung t shirt and said thanks and shook your hand ReefDork Saturday morning as I walked past you with my dad. You were busy so didn’t want to distract you but also wanted to say thanks for everything you do for the hobby! I’m a customer of Ryan’s and have said that to him when I visited his farm in person so I’m not ignoring him lol 😂
Missed this due to being a bit fragile after a stag do. Great show, thanks for reading out my essay😂 I didn’t consider showing you the my RU-vid profile and I had a feeling you might have recognised it but I thought that might be too keen!😂 Also I’m assuming the G2 XXL was the tank you were sworn to secrecy by?😉
The inD Aquatics frozen food feeder could be great for tanks whose inhabitants need several feeds a day and dry food does not cut it (seahorse) and could be set to deliver one of those feeds each day when you are at work.
Had a few excellent hours on Sunday, missed Alex, got to run into you at Moss End one day I'm sure. Bought lots of lovely frags off Ryan and my son got himself an amazing snake picture from Chez Art. I've been to many shows for my other hobbie and Aqua-H was a wonderful first outing, lots to learn for the organizers but very impressed.
Indaquatics frozen fish feeder is THE BEST piece of gear EVER! For anyone (like 90% if us) who actually works long hours during the week is the ONLY way to successfully keep finicky fish such as a Copperband long term. By the way, the unit is out and there are already a number of youtube videos.
Hi Alex just catching up on your stream, have to confess I’m in Abu Dhabi and sea temp is 33. according to my watch. What were your thoughts on the reef zlements h2p considering giving it a go!
@@ReefDork not big enough, there should have been shops from up and down the country there. Hundreds of seats for the talks with only a handful of people actually sat listening. Why not bring it closer to the stands then more people might have been inclined to listen Empty stands, if there are going to be empty stands and companies not show up, why not give companies like Ryan’s the space for free and who actually need it. The big companies like Red Sea and exodis didn’t have much if anything to buy, I took my wife and two kids and for them it was boring, yes it’s an aquatics show but expect people to bring family. Simple things like a goody bag on entrance with magazines, stickers, coupons from the companies that are there. Stands not big enough, for example Ryan’s stand as you say was always 3/4 people deep. I didn’t even get to look at what he brought as you couldn’t physically get in unless you was willing to stand there for an hour. Not enough for the tropical side or reptile side. There was people leaving at 12:30 when I got there with nothing to show for been there. This is just my opinion and I’m sure many people enjoyed it.
