Casting Sebastian Stan as Casey Jones is kinda funny considering Chris Evans played the role in the CGI TMNT movie from 2007.

I personally think Casey and April should be around the same age because in a lot of depictions of TMNT they end up together… those were the only 2 I had a problem with.. but I would still love to see more of these

I think villains are a must at this point. Baxter, BeBop, Rocksteady, Baron Draxum was a good ROTTMNT villain and I think he should get a casting. While Slash isn't a villain and is more of an Anti-hero I'd love to see him recast too.

I would love to see casts for live action Batman Beyond, live action Titan A.E., and live action Princess Mononoke.

Wow, I suggested Sebastian Stan to be Casey Jones recently and an Instagram User suggested Sophia Lillis to be 2012 April O’Neil. My choices for April and Casey are Abigail Cowen as April O’Neil and Joe Keery as Casey Jones.

For April O’Neal, I would actually want Madeleine Petsch as the character. I mean she just looks like April and even tho I haven’t watched her work, I think she’s a decent actress. For Shredder, I want Cary Yuki Tagawa from the OG Mortal Kombat movie. I think that man plays the ninja villain persona well. Him as Shang Tsung will NEVER get old.

Baxter Stockman The biggest problem I had with many live action tmnt films is that they always use shredder as the villain. Don’t get me wrong Shredder is an amazing villain but overexposure makes him (for me at least) least intimating. So say if someone did a trilogy of tmnt films, they should have two other villains in the first two and shredder has been pulling the strings and in the final film they face him. Who those other two villains should be I would choose Rat King and Complete Carnage. Both very powerful mutant advisers especially Rat king and Splinter’s personally battles. Rat king is the only villain that has a tie with Splinter besides Shredder.

I gotta admit, I do love to see Sophia Lillis in more things! Everyone else is all about the different mutants, I still hold out hope you’ll cast Hun. He was a henchman who gave 100% in the 2003 series!

I'd love to see more fan casting. There are so many more roles you could do. Maybe a Part 3 for more of the villains (Stockman, Karai, Rat King, Slash, Bishop and Hun), then Part 4 for more of the turtle's human allies (Bert, Vernon, Irma, Keno, Angel and Renet), maybe a Part 5 for more mutants (Mondo Gecko, Ray Fillet, Wingnut, Leatherhead, Mona Lisa and the Fugitoid) and maybe one for the IDW characters (Old Hob, Alopex, Jennika, Sally Pride, Koya and Kitsune).

Who do you think should be casted as Bebop or Rocksteady? I think Karen Fukuhara could be a good choice as Kurai.

Holy heck, I was wondering if you were going to pick Sophia Lillis for April because she seemed right. Very interesting picks for Shredder and Kraang. Feels so long since John Leguizamo played someone like the Clown. I haven't seen the sequel to the 2014 film, but I thought Brian Tee was a better Shredder. I guess your outlook on Casey Jones makes sense, but I thought he looked rad in the 2012 series with all the gear he wore in his outfit almost looking like a battle suit along with his facepaint.

Great video Bryan, you really know a lot about these characters and the actors who play them. Really love to see your take on Bebop and Rocksteady. Also just a suggestion, would you mind going back to your Batman fancasting for other characters who haven't appeared on the big-screen? I know you possibly have other fancasting you want to do, but it would really be fun to your interpretation for characters who stories haven't been told yet on screen. The specific characters I would like see include: Batwoman (Kate Kane), Bat-Wing, Blue Bird, Spoiler; Orphan, Lady Shiva, Cheshire, Alice and Signal.

Honestly, Sanada is such a perfect Shredder that I need to ask how he hasn’t been casted? Dude’s in his sixties yet can keep can with guys half his age. Just look at him in MK2021 with Joe Taslim.

If the TMNT turles get a reboot trilogy, what I want to see is this: 1st film - Based on TMNT first arc from IDW comics, have Ralphael being Turtles lost brother and acting as the surrogate character, the last one to join the turtles. While they teach Ralph the fighting styles of ninjutsu, Ralph, since he grew up in the streets, could be the one who inspires the Turtles to help the people in the surface and become New Yorks protectors. The villains could be Old Hob and Baxter Stockman (with Krang showing up in the post credit scene, teasing him as the "Thanos" of the franchise") 2nd film - Adaptation of City Fall, with Shredder and the Foot Clan (Karai, Rocksteady and Bebob and Alopex) as villains, with him wanting to take over New York from the Purple Dragons and other street gangs and have his revenge against Splinter (I would go with the IDW take, that Splinter is the reincarnation of ancient warrior from feudal Japan and the Shredder is his rival who was brought to life in present day), by brainwashing Leonardo and making him join the Foot Clan. In true Empire Strikes Back style, the Turtles could be able to rescue Leo but Shredder could take over the city, forcing the Turtles to leave, all traumatized by the event, specially Leo, who would have to deal with the guilty of being used against his family. 3rd film - It would the Turtles, now living hidden in April's parents house in the woods, recovering from the events of the previous films when they meet the Fugitoid, a android from Dimension X who would warn them about Krang plans to invade Earth, starting with New York, declaring war against Shredder and the Foot Clan, a conflict that could lead to the destruction of the whole city. So the plot would have the Turtles having to return to New York and stop this conflict between ninjas and aliens.

Katrina Law as Karai She may too old for the role but I believe she’s perfect. Her character in Arrow is basically Karai as a lesbian:badass, has a cold demeanor but is honorable and sympathetic.

I was slightly worried about Shedder but you NAILED IT. Oh Sinada aka Scorpion as Shredder would be phenomenal.

I could see Giancarlo Espocito as Stockman.

I think for April I would choose Jane Levy. She’s older, but I’d personally like to see the older April. For Krang my choice would be Benedict Cumberbatch, because I would love to see a much scarier and more intimidating version of Krang. Also I know Baxter Stockman wasn’t in this video, but I think Giancarlo Esposito would be wonderful in that role. I can imagine him playing a much more serious Stockman, kind of like the 2003 series.

Casey wasn’t originally a teenager but neither is April. I feel like if you’re gonna do a teenage April you also have to do a teenage Casey and vise versa considering their relationship is very important to both characters. Doing an adult Casey and teen April doesn’t work imo. The actors both work for versions of the character but not versions in one movie

Great casting choices, but, for April, I think the actress need to have experience with action scenes. I'm tired of seeing April always being portrayed as damsel in distress in the movies. I want to see something more close to the comics or the 2003 and 2012 cartoons, where she recives training from Master Splinter, becoming a Kunoichi (which could give her a great character arc in movie or series)

I would like to see you try do live action flash casting. Maybe the first video do Barry Allen, Wally West, and Iris West, the second do The Rouges, and the third do any other villains. I think you would do a great job on it.

I probably wouldn't make April that young. For one, it removes a big part of her character as a competent professional. I think her role as an Older Sister taking care of the brothers is important, and offers a much more interesting dynamic. Go too young, and it's not believable for one to have had time to establish themselves as a Journalist. Having her too young also removes any possible romantic tension her and Casey could have, because we don't need a situation where an older man is hitting on a teen. I think someone like Dakota Fanning could do well as April. Her looking younger than she is would open opportunities to explore having to prove one's credibility, when you don't look the part, despite your competence. This is an experience many women in different fields have had, and fits very well with the Journalist backstory. April is a very aspirational character. Casey, I think, should lean heavily into the Hockey Player thing. I could see in the story him being a former Player, who maybe was close to getting his shot at the International levels, but due to injury or some other scandal, he lost his chance. This would set him up as someone with experience, but also, explain his physicality. This would also allow him to take on a mentor role to the brothers, who could well be Hockey Fans in New York. Someone like Colton Haynes, or even John Boyega could pull off the physicality of the character, feel like a true athlete, and also bring the necessary humor and dramatic qualities the role deserves. John Leguizamo, that's just perfect. Man has terrific range, and I could see him really chewing the scenery in this role, in the best possible way. Shredder is a tricky one. On the one hand, Hiroyuki Sanada is perfect for it, but on the other, the man is over 60. For a franchise character, meant to be around for a good few years, in a role that requires some very intensive stunt work, I'd probably cast someone significantly younger. They can always use makeup and CGI to age the actor, when his not hidden under the mask. I think the main thing to capture about Shredder is him being an intimidating master martial artist, which kind of points to casting someone with that background, someone who is known for stunt work. We've seen with Iron Fist what happens, when you put a solid actor without skills to pull off stunts into an action role. Let's avoid this completely. My pick for Shredder would be Yoshi Sudarso. Man has the moves, and he looks the part.

The current Mortal Combat movie is the first mortal combat movie, I have ever seen. I do not have any bias against it. It was what I wanted in a movie, entertaining and plot driven.

If you've seen my comment on your part 1, you'd probably expect me to say you should have stuck with Zendaya; and you're right. I also agree with your Casey Jones line of thought. Shredder's 2014 design, however, had my favorite gauntlets.

Much like part 1, this is almost perfect casting. My only tiny disagreements are the casting for Raphael & Casey. Dont get me wrong, I love Will Poulter & Sebastain Stan as actors & honestly would prefer them as the adult versions of these characters but comparing the age gap to the other actors he has chosen, my personal casting would be 2 Cobra-Kai actors, Jacob Bertrand/Hawk as Raphael & Tanner Buchanan/Robby as Casey Jones. Sophia Lillis is perfect but I gotta admit, Mary Mouser & Peyton List would be a good 2nd & 3rd choice for April.

On their own the April and Casey choices are great but together it just feels icky. Stan is just way too old to be paired with Lillis.

Totally tubular. Could you cast more of their villains? The TMNT have a huge and fun rouges gallery but it’s always been neglected by the shredder. He’s the main bad guy in every movie except ninja turtles 3 and in the cartoons, almost all the bad guys who aren’t the shredder work for him. We need TMNT movies where the shredder isn’t the main villain or at least has a small role to play like the TMNT animated movie. I want a movie where the villain is rat king, MR NULL, or even Hun. And the movies could build up to shredder just like the 2003 show did by having the turtles unknowingly ruining his plans and he targets them out of necessity. Baxter Stockman was supposed to be the main villain of the first 90’s movie but was replaced with shredder because the technology back then was too primitive to translate his mousers and tech to the big screen. And they could take a note from Spider-Man homecoming for bringing multiple villains into the movies by making one the boss and the rest the henchmen. Like stockman could be the one to mutate Bebop and Rocksteady which would be a perfect showing of brains working with brawn. And when shredder eventually comes in a future movie, he could recruit villains that the turtles defeated in old movies like stockman and BB and RS if the writers avoid the old trope of making the villains die in every movie
