There should be. NO. Reason people ahould be limited on income OR taxed if they draw at 62. 22000 is poverty .

My 74 yr old husband and I(66) are trying to finally retire from our rental business ( 5 properties 7 units). Our goal is to pay off the last mortgage we owe on 2 properties combined and our own home mortgage in order to be 100 % debt free in retirement. My question is will we be penalized by Medicare and have our part b increased if we sell our rentals? Is the income cap of the $59,000 per beneficiary or per couple? Thank you 6:44

So I was waiting to hear you explain what happens if you wait until after your normal retirement date to apply. My normal retirement age of 66 and 6 months is up in May 2024. Would I also lose money if I'm still working?

Once you reach full retirement age you can start SS without worry about income.

Your chart at the 4:00 mark implies there is a$59,520 income limitation for someone taking their SS at their FRA. Thought the income limitation went away at your FRA. I’m confused.

That limit applies to the year you hit your FRA. After your FRA, there is no limlit.

Take for SS in January 2024 if your income before 6/2024 will not affect your benefits. There is an exception for your full year retirement age. Research to see what’s best for you. After full retirement there is no income limit.

Once you start your FRA 'year' you can take a Monthly Earnings Test MET, and see if your monthly income exceeds your PIA. If it doesn't, you can begin SS.
