To rephrase what you already said on Tears of the kingdom, the novelty wore off after playing a 100 hours of Breath of The Wild. The bosses and dungeons are better executed, and the freedom of experimentation you get is much better, but otherwise I think the game is too big and I got fatigued after like 30 hours into the thing. Still the world is so organic and the korok puzzles are even better I think. Awesome game
Excellent video and superb recap of TotK! Always anxiously awaiting your next video. I've been watching your channel for years and I look forward to many more!
Loving TOTK but have similar gripes. Was definitely hoping the weapons durability system was revamped. I have a bow and arrow and many years later the thing hasn't broken. Same can be said for my axe and hatchet. I think its fine for weapons to break eventually but I often can't kill more than one high HP enemy without having to get another weapon out. I also think the shrines can be seen as 'lazy' because we already had shrines all over the map and so to have new shrines with new statues doesn't really make sense. I think the Temples were also not different enough from the divine beasts; we are still lacking in the dungeon crawling department. I do think the abilities are better this time around; I'm glad bombs are collectible rather than infinite, and Ultrahand is a lot of fun. Story has also been very engaging. I think the Sages needed improvement, its annoying to try to go up to them to get them to do their ability, and the Water ability is basically useless. The wind ability is so much more useful than the others I usually just have him out when adventuring. I think my favorite new feature are the Old Maps, and so far I have not been disappointed with the treasures found with them. It wouldn't have surprised me to just get an Opal or something so for them to give you legit items is awesome. Finally, I wish they had redone the sounds more; I think the piano-heavy soundtrack is still too sparse, and I think the menu sounds could have been changed. Would have been cool especially if the Secret sound was a synthesizer or something.
This is great to see your game collection video. Question i have is do you wish there were more amiibos for tears of the kingdom like how i believe there were like 8 amiibos for breath of the wild?
Sure, I'd at least like to get one for each of the sages like they did with BotW. But with Zelda and Ganondorf already announced, that'd be a healthy total already.
My view differs a bit but I can understand how you and many others feel that BotW is your favorite even though technically TotK is better. However for me BotW was never THAT good. I mean I liked it a lot and it was at least 9/10 game for me and I ended up finishing all the shrines. But there was always something about the game world that felt little stale to me. Lack of any real dungeons/caverns etc. made the exploration bit boring towards the end. And especially the "lack of life" NPC-wise as the side quests were scarce and mostly very basic stuff. So for me TotK pretty much fixed all that. All the caverns and the depths to explore and all the NPCs to interact with and all the side quests and little things to do (yes there are still lot of basic fetch-quests but a lot of quality ones too) made the immersion 5x better for me. The game world just feels so much more rich and alive. Of course there are still things that could have used more variety like enemies and armor effects etc. but those are minor gripes. To sum it up TotK was very positive surprise and easily one of the best games I have played.
@@finngamer lol completely understandable. Agree that Zelda was the important game 😂 It's great whenever you do get the chance to check it out though. I know you were disappointed with the resi 3 remake, as was I. 😂
