In 2020, the Dallas Public Library discovered a collection of “lost” Dallas Times Herald negatives from the weekend of President Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, including photographs captured at Dallas Love Field, Dealey Plaza and Parkland Memorial Hospital. In the summer of 2021, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza had an opportunity to study this remarkable archival find and compare these unseen images with the Museum’s extensive Dallas Times Herald Collection. Join Museum collections staff on this journey of discovery for a firsthand look at some of these unseen images and learn how these negatives complement well-known photographs in the Museum’s collection.
