you and Reggie together are my favorite videos for some reason, I can't even really explain why, you guys together just seem to put off a lot of positive energy (cripes I sound like a hippie)
I could watch you guys talk about games for hours on end, you have really great chemistry with all your guests. Probably because you are such good friends with them beforehand, and it shows. Keep up the hard work MJR!
You guys should be hired by a TV Channel... You are both nice guys sitting on a couch, with bunch of games and that would be the cheapest/greatest programme on TV... :)
I'm home sick from work. Hanging with my daughter and now I have something awesome to watch! Thank you for the content! Metal Jesus and Radical Reggie Rocks!!!
Reggie is always like a little kid on Christmas morning when he gets to talking about games. Love his passion, he is always super stoked to talk about games, to show off games, never get tired of how excited he gets.
Been following your channel for a while now, just spent the last 2 hours or so checking out buying guides. Just wanted to say great job! You and all of your guest hosts are very knowledgeable and personable, and it's nice to see videos that are fun and informative without being too gimmicky. Up the horns!
So many great games! Back in 09' I got to go to the Xbox press conference for E3 and got see the unveiling of Shadow Complex by Chair. I am also really happy to see that Shadow Complex finally got a physical release. It's one of my favorite games on my 360.
Love these episodes, your enthusiasm is contagious. I'm waiting for my Shadow Complex to arrive: MJR put me onto these Limited Run releases. Also got orders placed for physical copies of Retro City Rampage and Rez Remastered on PS4.
God Reggie is such a cool guy. I mean ANYBODY you have on this channel is bound to be because your choice of friends is obviously impeccable haha :D keep it up makes me smile every time i watch your videos
I love you two retro gamers seems like you guys are best buds and have a lot in common would love to see more from you cool cats like a whole playlist of radical Reggie and metal Jesus
Great video, big fan. I like your laid back approach to this hobby, unlike a lot of other (angry) channels out there. I will say though that watching you on that elliptical machine during your intro always gives me temporary blindness.
I'm giving two thumbs up for a video on all SSI games! That would be most amazing... Thanks for all of your hard work in presenting all these games to us.
These pick up videos are always so awesome, you guys find the coolest stuff and send me into a jealous rage. Reggie forever! Undead Knights on PSP looks sweet, I'll have to track that one down.
I actually changed my RU-vid picture because I can't stop laughing at this picture, and it's not even doctored, for serious......those clouds appear when you kiss the Nintendo Playstation #NoFilter
Really enjoy your reviews. Showing the game play during explanation is great. I dont understand how all the other guys get it so wrong. Keep em' coming :)
I love the feeling of nostalgia when you see fmv in PC games. there was such a small window of time when that was cutting edge, but i remember it being so cool to see in on the display PC in my local "Tandy Electronics" shop (Australia)
Im am so excited to meet yall at portland retro gaming expo this year thanks reggie for hitting me up and letting me know you guys are attending this year
Holy smokes does this video bring back memories...I used to have that Wolfenstein 3D and Blake Stone collection. I remember our first PC was running like windows 98 or 2000 and that was the one of the only games that would run well on it... Picked it up at a flea market for like $5...both games are a ton of fun. Also Shatterhand on the NES is one of the best games on the console.
The Wolfenstein + Blake Stone combo box was definitely sold at K-marts. I remember vividly always staring at the box when I was young because I didnt even own a computer and imagined how cool it would be to play it.
Keep it coming. You guys are inspirations to us. I almost gave up on vita, but when I saw a video of MJR about the vita, I held onto it and now loves playing it everyday. It makes me happy to see you do a pick ups with vita games on it. You guys rock!
I know this video is 40 minutes long, but I got kinda sad when yall were down to the last game too. I need to go look up that shooter on ps4 that Reggie had. I had never seen that before.
Thanks for another double fisting awesome pickups video! :) I been looking forward to another one of these videos, always enjoyable seeing you guys togheter showing off your finds and pickups. Have an awesome weekend and enjoy your games.
Song of the Deep is awesome. Great story and awesome metroidvania gameplay. I'm also surprised they admitted they weren't re-printing Gal Gun. Cool little collector's item though.
Great vid metal Jesus and reggie, I love these videos because I find so many titles that I haven't heard of here in the UK. Problem is it takes me about an hour to watch cause I have to pause after each game and find it online!
OMG. I loved Blake Stone for that week before Doom came out! Don't tell me this was a pickup in Arizona, I didn't get around to checking the game booths because I kept getting busy.
Great video today. Nice GHOST autographed poster on the wall. My wife and I both have one from the Silver Platter show as well. I guess we were standing close to you, LOL. At least the wife thinks we were. I had no idea who you were then, now i do :) Btw, whats your band page?
Wish Eric would make a duo player game that features Metal Jesus & Reggie bromance adventure, like 80's style arcade 2D platformer and some inter-stage shooter section, and they fight all the way from underground to space , possibly in a mad max style environment with all the post apocalypse explosions and metal music, you can just make the cover from the picture that metal jesus put in the very end of his every video, and make reggie look like Mr. T but with wide, huge sunglasses because he is cool and uses punches only lol.
Love me some Reggie. (only league kids will get that reference). One thing I love about this video is it's clear that Metal Jesus and Reggie are more comfortable around each other. Not that they weren't before, just that the interactions between the two are more like what you get between MJ and Drunken Master Paul.
Reggie and John Hancock are like a healing stream for eyes and ears. Apart for them its always a beautifull frustration watching someone having something he has no idea about what it is most of the time ^^
Awww You got RENEGADE!!!! I bought that game and played it back in the day with a PC joystick. I LOVE the Soundtrack for that game and it is a throw back to Tie Fighter.
I love Shatterhand! Good Half Priced Books Story: I was perusing the clearance carts and found a bunch of jewel cased games, all of it for $2 a pop. I find a few Dreamcast games, Samba, Space Channel, Virtual On and Power Stone. All great finds and wonderful deals. The cream of the crop was in the PS1 titles; Bomberman Party, Mega Man Legends and (drum roll) THE MISADVENTURES OF TRON BONNE! I picked up the lot for less than $20 and I don't mind saying I skipped back to my car with the world's biggest grin on my face.
I recommended this on one of John Riggs' videos, but it's worth repeating: slide in a butter knife to open those game boxes from each side. It's very effective on those thin Nintendo and Atlus outer boxes.
A long time ago in a Software, Etc. far away I sold those PC games that MJ was showing when they were first released. I remember trying to shrinkwrap that tombstone game after people would purchase it, copy it and then return it. A major pain in the ass. I loved the SSI games for my C-64 (Six-Gun Shootout comes to mind) but the PC games not so much. Great episode!
