Central Texas has seen a good amount of rain recently, but has it been enough to fill our lakes? KVUE went to Lake Travis to find out.

Can we all just accept that we don’t have enough water for the massive amounts of development we have had.

Thank you for coming out! 🎉 We’re looking forward to a busy year on the lake. Praying for rain to bring lake Travis back to what it was before. Just need it in the right areas of the water shed. It could fill up overnight like it has a few times in the past if we get rain in the right areas.

Thanks for the interview! We’ve still got plenty of water in Lake Travis for this summer. Big Tex Boat Rentals is operating like normal and Lake Travis is as busy as ever. We have over 8 boats on lake Travis at Marinas. The party cove is still over 40ft deep and the main channel of lake Travis over 100ft in some places. There’s currently more water in Lake Travis than Lake LBJ & Lake Austin combined. There’s been 2-3x the amount of boat traffic in Lake Travis than Lake Austin so far this year each weekend. Since there is only a few boat ramps open on Lake Travis, we are moving all our boats kept on boat trailers to Lake Austin exclusively for this summer like other people. Praying for rain though to help fill up the lake and bring it back to its formal glory!

We need tropical system to dump rain in just the right spot! Seems last 15 yrs draught or floods but lately just draughts!

Meanwhile lakes Waco Whitney Possum Kingdom Richland Chambers and anything on the Leon Bosque Brazos Trinity River systems are discharging water with the main gates of the dam because we are so full we're probably not even going to get to get on the water this year

Well I had no idea but it has rained for weeks and the flood warning for central Texas is in effect so they'll all be over filled with water I bet. like lake waco dude just mentioned
