Wow big reading week for you! Yay! So many amazing readathon points. (i am not participating) This week i continued my reread of the Ghost Mountain Wolf Shifter series by Audrey Faye, i read books 2, 3, and 4. i also read Road to Ruin by Hana Lee which was such a fantastic book, it is the author's, a Korean American, love letter to her favorite film - Mad Max: Fury Road, in the form of a fast paced sci-fi adventure in a gritty wasteland that has magic motorcycles, a bisexual F/F/M burgeoning poly triad (that may or may not have another F and maybe an M, but that may only be in my heart of hearts), the megafauna is dinosaur-coded, and it's really good. And i also read the book that is probably the most perfect book i've ever read - Looking For Smoke by K.A. Cobell. It's a mystery horror ya thriller that is set in the united states. The characters were so brilliantly written, flawed and imperfect. MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women) played a large part in the plot, without it being a traumadump, it was so beautifully and carefully written, and the author gives you a look into indigenous, specifically Blackfeet, customs, and ways of life, without it being an infobook. The mystery left me guessing until quite literally the last page. It was so good and i cannot recommend it highly enough. Both it and Road to Ruin are incredibly high recs from me! (check the CWs for both, definitely!)
@@NovelteaCorner It is. And I was so glad to have a mature romance, I was in desperate need of one. I've grown a little tired of reading about ppl half my age, tbh. Plus the whole confrontation - as you said - perfection! 🤭
