Hi Vinyl Vault. Good pick mate, not a big fan of Blondie but that Debbie Harry is interesting. Queen first album is great even though I don't like Queen. There were funnily enough four first pressings of this album in 1973. Genesis The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway was on my opinion the best Genesis album about a New York street punk and his brother John. If it's a first press it will have the large Mad Hatter label, also the lyric inners will be of a heavy cardboard. I can't remember the matrix number and I think it has B and C records on the sleeve. Class album. I went to Seaham today, again very thin on the ground, but got Lloyd Cole and the Commotions Rattlesnakes album and a James Taylor Greatest hits album. So at least I got summat.
Thanks so much for taking the time to give me a comprehensive review and reply. I note all your comments and find them very interesting. I have much to learn but I am pleased you getting out and about and finding a few records. All the best.
Shelf life for creativity for an artist are limited for a portion of their career. Madonna had 8 good years from '83 to '91. In comparison Prince had 12 years from '79 to '91. Bowie had 13 good years from '70 to '83. McCartney had 19 years from '63 to '82. Alice Cooper had 16 years from '71 to '86.
I can definitely help here as I know our masked vinyl crusader doesn’t like to give too much away about which shelves, sorry I mean car boots, he gets the records from but I’m very pleased to reveal its the A1B1 sale, just outside of Chinny Reckon :)
