Recessions are part of the economic cycle, all you can do is make sure you're prepared and plan accordingly. I graduated into a recession (2009). My 1st job after college was aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today I'm a VP at a global company, own 3 rental properties, invest in stocks and biz, built my own business, and have my net worth increase by $500k in the last 4 years.

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a market analyst for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again.

America is currently plagued by the hydra-headed evil duo of inflation and recession. The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun..

Our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

I foresee a recession lasting 2-3 years, and if inflation continues to surge, the Federal Reserve will likely raise interest rates soon. Inflation is causing various issues worldwide, such as food shortages, scarcities of diesel and heating fuel, and significant spikes in housing prices, leading to a potential financial market crash. This global downturn could have long-lasting repercussions. Given the current inflation rate of approximately 9%, my main worry is how to optimize my savings and retirement fund, which has remained stagnant at around $300,000, yielding almost no gains for quite some time.

Yes, that's why I try to run all of my investiing decisions by a Fin-coach. I've been using one since the pandemic outbreak because their entire model is based on trading long and short at the same time, using profit-oriented blueprints and reducing risk as a hedge against the unavoidable downtrends. In addition, because they have access to exclusive info and analysis, it's virtually impossible for them to underperform. I gained over $1.5 million after working with a coach for nearly three years.

The average person has never been so poor. Millions of families are struggling financially as living expenses hit the highest levels in more than four decades. Over 60% of our country lives paycheck to paycheck and about 40% earns poverty wages. Even after working all their lives, more than a quarter of older people have no savings and many believe they will never be able to retire in dignity, while around 55% of elderly people try to survive on an income of less than 25,000 a year.

The average person doesn’t realize that rates will have to be high and steady for like 2-5 years for the economy to recover
@geometerfpv2804
@geometerfpv2804 2 месяца назад
What about companies leaving prices high even after inflation comes back down? How does that factor into the analysis? I think the modern information age has exposed us to a kind of price fixing. Companies know they can get away with anything as long as they all do it at the same time. I don't think rates are going to change that. They're not going to set prices back to normal because nothing is forcing them to. Everything is controlled by large corporations who aren't exposed to any new competition. We have no alternatives. I live in CA. Every apartment complex is managed by a few massive property managers. They have a sophisticated algorithm that tells them how high they can push rent prices without causing the market to fall apart. They're all using the same system. They set prices based on this, and since they're all doing it, there is no one left to undercut them and put downward pressure on the price. It's a good that no one can stop using, so we are at their mercy. They now have blanket policies that they won't negotiate...because they don't have to. It used to be that there were many smaller companies and even properties managed by individuals and families. Not so any longer. Rates won't fix that.
@kurtsaidwhat
@kurtsaidwhat 2 месяца назад

@@geometerfpv2804the longer rates stay high, a recession is inevitable. A moderate recession could correct prices and alleviate the economic stress. It’s either that or wages have to drastically increase with prices miraculously staying stable, which ain’t gonna happen
@hopesandmemes
@hopesandmemes 2 месяца назад
@@geometerfpv2804 inflation most likely isn’t going to be reversed, and you highlighted that. The point isn’t to make prices go down. It’s to make sure they don’t get higher. Inflation hit crazy levels from 2021 to 2024. That’s over 3 years of consistent price hikes. 4 months of rate hikes isn’t going to fix that. If they tank rates again it will just make inflation go up again and reignite the housing bubble. So, the solution is to try and keep inflation between 0-2% annually which keeps the money supply and buying power of each dollar constant. Then, you find ways to put more dollars in people’s pockets sustainably (higher wages, not stimulus checks). So, people have more buying power and therefore they spend more. Wages up + inflation up = stagnation Wages constant/down + inflation up = recession Wages up + no inflation = growth

Look at the price for homes back then. The middle class could still afford homes working a decent full time job. That's just not the case anymore by a large margin. If they lower rates, the market will crash. If they continue to raise them, the market will most likely have a small correction at least. There's a reason why we went from 7 rate cuts to 6, then 3, and now 1 for the year. They know they can't cut rates like they originally told us.

@@TheNotimprezed So true. Blackrock started buying up homes using (basically) free money, almost no interest, to buy an appreciating asset. That has snowballed the price of housing - at 12% interest the financial companies would not be interested in using borrowed money to buy housing and the price would drop as demand also dropped. I say 12% because in the 1980's that was a very typical mortgage rate.
