This is one of my favorites from the new album. Not the most complex as I feel it’s fairly straightforward in being about looking back at your the memories you share with those close to you, both the good and bad, and being able to see the beauty in your youthful triumphs and mistakes. One of my favorite lines in particular is the small one in the chorus referring to “our sacred pain” reflecting that slight contradictory concept where even a painful memory is held as precious or sacred because it’s a part of the past the singer shares with their friend. Such a beautiful song.
Oh hey, Poets of the Fall! Got a few songs from them you should check out. They’re all ones that have been featured in Remedy video games, but… eh, that’s how I was first exposed to them. 😋 • “War” - in _Alan Wake_ • “My Dark Disquiet” - In _Control_ • “Take Control” - written specifically for _Control_ under their in-Remedy-verse alias, The Old Gods of Asgard Also… ever listen to a metal band of your countrymen called Sabaton? If not, please do, they’re _amazing._ Almost all of their songs about about historical events, especially military history. Gonna suggest you start off with one of the songs people usually seem to recommend as a first introduction: “Bismarck”.
Good song! Fyi...lately I haven't been getting notifications for your channel. Actually I had to rehit the notification bell a few days ago but I still didn't get the notification. 😊
I'm enjoying the channel especially the POTF reviews. I'm wanting to suggest the Polish band MOONRISE. I think you and your subscribers will enjoy them immensely. The tracks EMPTY LINES & GUARDIAN ANGEL would be a terrific place to start.
