I installed GrapheneOS on my sister's Pixel 7 (including sandboxed Google Play) and she hasn't even noticed that it is not the stock Android. GrapheneOS is always the only choice for privacy and, more important, security.

This is BRILLIANT! I've toyed with DeGoogled phones before but it was always a real chore. This was so easy, I litterally did it while watching your video. I'm lucky enough to have my old phone - a Pixel 3a XL - lying around. So I've installed CalyxOS on it, and if I pop my SIM from my daily phone in it, I can test drive CalyxOS for as long as I want. Great video! But the two main problems with modified phone software is that only a few phones are supported, so cheap Chinese phones with fantastic hardware and garbage software are not supported. The other problem is that many applications like banking software, digital drivers license and so on often are blocked from used on "modified" software.

Never used Android. Saw a cheap Pixel in a shop, installed Graphene to test it and I've been using it for years now. Everything works. The only problem is that not every app works in other user profiles. I now only use the default private and work profiles.

Thank you for this informative video regarding Android mobile security. May I ask you a question regarding root access of this OS... What I mean by it is whether Termux with root can be used in this OS. Like whether I can enable SU permissions when running Termux.

I used to make custom ROMs using the AOSP source. GApps or Google apps were never the part of the stock build. I'm not sure if we can still do that but we could do minimal GApps install or just ignore it entirely.
