I think that comparison to Variations would have been of interest as well. Also, do you feel that the changes in nozzle girth and geometry contribute anything to the fit vs B2 and Variations?

Managed to audition the B3 myself, its impressive and I prefer it to both the B2 and Dusk. However, it's not something I'd personally pay full price for, so I'm looking for it to come to the 2nd-hand market (or get a decent discount) before getting a set. Wish they had nicer faceplates options like the original B2, the wood options were super nice!
Do you use moondrop alice ? If yes compared to alice hows the bass compared to alice ? Im not a audiophile when i use alice i like the vocal but the bass is kinda lacking for me
Hey Timmy, what about the fit? There are reviews saying the B3 is not smaller, but has a slightly different shape and smaller nozzle which might fix the fit issue the B2 had.

@@hungerxhunger ya tru, for example b3 may have better slam and punch but mayb mkII BAs are able to complete very close. Some people like their bass so much that they might pick b3 over better mkII just because of the slam and dynamic.
The huge bass hump that has gotten so much attention nowadays sounds ridiculously thunderous and so disturbing. Except for modern especially artificial music no other genre supports that amount of bass. Also makes the frequency range sound lacking in midbass aka bass tuck. It's the worst kind of evolution in people's taste for sound signature.
I decided to buy the blessing 3 and as good as they sound, I am BEYOND tired of these fucking ear tips sticking in my ears. How is this a problem for $300 IEMs? Can you please, for the love of the gods, tell me how to stop this from happening, or some other ear tips to buy?
Hello, I have been using premium true wireless earbuds (Sennheiser, B&O, Unique Melody etc.) for a few years but I would like to go one step further and buy a dac dongle for my iPhone and some wired earbuds. I'm looking for a crystal clear sound with dry and powerful bass (but not "artifacts" or overwhelming), incisive highs and above all very high volume, since I mostly listen to house/techno/minimal music/rock/pop (no classical at all). Documenting myself on RU-vid I would have thought of this set: Luxury Precision W4/W4 EX (I would also like to understand the difference between the two, from the listening point of view that I have described and to know if they are "plug and play") and Moondrop Blessing 3 (I since these iems use a 3.5 mm jack and I wanted to understand the difference with the balanced 4.4 mm one and if it can be used with these iems) Do you think it's a good choice?! I really want to try this one. When you think about it be or blessing series in general sits on a middle ground; it's an endgame IEM for those who don't want to spend too much money on the hobby. And those who are willing it's a milestone in the wast price ranges. But I wish Moondrop had paid a little bit more attention; yeah as an option it's a milestone but as a product with that much importance it's accessories are kinda lacking; cable looks....? Good but unimpressive, case is great but it needs a little bit more eartip options. ESPECIALLY with that big housing design; big nozzles and earpieces could be manageable if you have the right accessories to pair with it; b3 could use short wide bore eartips like spring tips out of the box. And as well as a similarly designed foam tip. I don't know if Moondrop is aware of this but they are becoming the sennheiser of in ear market.
As an owner of B2:Dusk, the B3 is all I wanted from a successor, except for bass power. Clearly it can do stronger bass, but it's intentionally not tuned that way, so should I get B3 and EQ it, or potentially wait for a "Dusk" version?
@@Ghostling6180 less highs than the blessing and it'd be dull, more bassy and it'd be boomy, the scoop in the low mids it's not for me, the richness in the vocal is the priority. separating the bass from the vocal makes the vocal thin, disjointed, and the baritone voices become tenors. that's why I don't like the dusk.
Sitting here listening on my Starfields and slowly feeling like I'm knee deep in mud lol. God I'd love to get the Blessing 3 for the clarity but I'm happy with my Starfield in terms of quality of music I'm after. If they ever go on sale I'll get a pair but for me It's purely just for that next step up in clarity and resolution.
at last the B3 review! :) but I have some doubts of your measurements compared to what I see on Crin's website.. you show B2 with more bass than B3 from 35 to 700 Hz (where they meet and share same mids), while Crin shows (old database) B3 with significant more bass from 20 to 100 Hz, then slightly less or nearly the same all the way up to the mids... why so different? you say the bass in the B3 has more impact but the graph shows less bass than B2 where it's weak... can you clarify this part? thanks for everything!! I think you will be again the cause of my wallet's tears! :)) (and my tears too when my wife we'll find out about the expenses! hahaha)
@@Mazda-kf2ji the B2 are definitely flat in the bass, that's why I was interested in the Dusk or see what the B3 do.. but Timmy shows a graph with lower bass than B2 even, and Crin shows the opposite, which is very confusing...
ordered the studio 4 last week, glad to hear it is a 1/2 step above. I will have a listen and then decide on whether i need to add the B3 since I already have the B2D
thank you for this review. I'm not that into bass I guess, just enough is good enough for me. Most songs I listen to will be in the mid and high, especially instruments like piano and violin.
Lesgooooooooo 🔥 Btw just wanna confirm something, does the shrinking of the nozzle diameter significantly improve the comfort for you or not really? I personally didn't really mind the B2's nozzle in terms of comfort but it was annoying when I wanna tip roll cos nothing is wide enough 😔
@@Jiakunate im a tester, and i do know that everyone is different with audio,,,ive used titan s, kima, s12 pro, orchestra lite, hook x and hook x hbb, b2, b3, vulkan, xenns top and soon the sa6 mk2. My biggest issue is value, xenns top, vulkan and hook x were all great, but value pick i like the kima,, lastly i switch to my headphones (tygr 300r) for serious comp shooters.
Timmy we want a Galileo with the same air next time !! 👍✌️.The only thing I don t get with measurements is that 8 khz spike.Exists in some iems in others not.Some say it's defect of the measurement so why in others doesn t exist?
Will this be an upgrade over Letshuoee S12 Pro? I also have Xenns Mangird Top as consideration but don't know how it would compare to B3 and the price hike is also pretty steep.

Seeing that the B3 graphs like a less bassy Vari I'd say it will suit your library if it consists of upbeat & fast-paced jpop with female vocals. The separation and vocal clarity is crazy.
As an owner of both the Timeless and B2, I think the B2 already surpassed it by a little margin, so I'm not personally impressed by that. Even the planars being amazing in resolution, the B2 is more expensive too.
Resolution comes with a twist, it's overly metalic in timbre and since timbre is more important than res you end up enjoying more the B2/B3 overall. Gosh even my unresolved 10buck Vido sounds more appealing than 7Hz timeless since I'm very sensitive in that aspect.
That's way too much for gaming, just get some 50 bucks budget chifi IEM with good imaging. You don't need good tuning or resolution if you are just playing games with them, that's more reasonable for music
it is horrible, it lasted me around 2 weeks till the right connector stopped working, I kid you not 30$ iem's come with better cable's then the moondrop blessing 3

@@nuwang2381 I'm not much on the techi audiophile side but my comment with B3 is, it's very good with instrumentals. The instruments are well separated. Bass is quite low though. for the tips, im using Moondrop's spring tips.

Could not agree more on the Studio 4 being the best under $500. Especially so if you are looking for something that can be used as an all day listening transducer. For quick hits and instant gratification a more v-shaped iem may be fine, but, for critical listening for a trained ear, the Softears Studio 4 is the high watermark under $500.
I scratched my head when I saw the little bass power B3 had in the FR Moondrop puts 2 DDs in an IEM but not enough bass power, why? SO CLOSE on making an IEM that is a strict improvement over the B2 Twins.
Because they already have so many IEM's with that exact tuning. This now falls between being an upgrade from the original B2 and different from the Dusk while giving people a new tuning option between the Kato and the Variation. If you look at every Moondrop IEM's tuning they are about 90% the same besides a couple standouts and the B3 is now one of those standouts because it's bass is detailed but underpowered which allows the mids and highs to shine. When making a new IEM it's less about what the IEM can do and more about making something people might want to buy to experience something else. Moondrop suffer from "This IEM is a cheaper version of this with 90% of the sound", like Kato, KXXS, Starfield, Aria. If the B3 had more bass it'd make the B2Dusk into that 90%.
I heard your better off going for a cheaper set of iem's for gaming, maybe something like the reds? I could be wrong though, ask in the discord allot of really well informed people are in there
I will never buy another Moondrop due to their terrible QC and build quality. I bought the Blessing 2 Dusk and it didnt even come with filters over the nozzles!!! Well that and I bought a 64 Audio U12t which is god tier/end game for neutral signature lovers!
Do you mean the B2:Dusk didn't have the filter inside the nozzle? the entire Blessing line doesn't have a standard nozzle design with a mesh filter, it has tubes. Also IEM's in general have bad QC. I spend $600 and my IEM's died twice within two weeks of use. Third time I just asked for a full refund instead of a replacement. You can buy the best of the best and it can still have problems. Meanwhile a $20 IEM might last you 30 years with no issues. Really can't say one brand is better or worse.
