This was great, but totally missed the two, fatal flaws of Recoil: 1. Requires phones/apps to use (forget it). 2. Apps are buggy AF and can render the system totally useless (hard to know if you didn't have the ability to test, of course).

The extra sensor is to put on the BACK of your shirt or on your BACK pocket,,this is so that if you get hit from behind it registers, giving you a 360 degree hit zone. The gun has 3 sensors, one on the front and one on each side.. Thus making it a bit more realistic

Yeah, while that is the intended use, I feel it's better served in other places, which is why I mentioned I'd love if they made a headband or hat that plugs in instead that has sensors all around it, so not only is there a sensor on your head to prevent people just hiding their blasters, but also allows for being tagged from behind.

There was a small effort in the European airsoft scene to swap BBs with sensors. It didn't exactly pan out well. Something about an IRL sport but you're hit by a mess of sensors just didn't feel organic. And yeah, sensor covering is kind of an issue with no workaround.

I picked this set up and played with my niece and nephew. It was a blast. Although it says you have the option to play with only a phone if you download the app. My niece was all excited to be a healer. The heal button didn't work. Although they just released an update so maybe they fixed it. She could pick up crates and use them though. If you put up A game on the SAANG Meetup I have 2 blasters and I'm thinking about getting a couple more. We could maybe get 16 for a full battle.

No way to "dial it in" as it is a cone of IR, not a laser beam. You can narrow the beam by using a different lens and focal length. That will also increase your range.

Jangular pretty much the same with all laser tag brands. Really it is not an issue. It has been around for 30+years

Haven't fully tested that yet, if I do a full on review the way I want I should have a better idea.

I'm pretty sure it's 12 battery's in all for the things in the starter pack (double aa battery's) and for the upgraded gun not the spitfire, it's 6 double aa battery's and then for the grenade its triple aa battery's (1 battery needed)
