I am anxiously waiting for Hermeneia to start releasing commentaries on the Pentateuch. And I am anxiously waiting for Ronald Hendel's commentary on Genesis in the Anchor BIble Series to come out. I am not saying that modern Evangelical commentaries are automatically bad but I get really tired of people only covering them. I like how you diversify.
@dustin Smith: Awaiting your recommendations on the next couple of books in the Old Testament. I really hope you do a few more books in the OT...maybe just like Judges, Samuel, chronicles etc. - don't stop. This was a great vid, & its been a big help to me too. Thank you.
can you do a video giving suggestions on old commentators to read (like puritans or reformers mabe) Im pretty lost when it comes to older commentators but ive read matthew henrys, barnes notes, keil and delitsch, and calvins commentaries and i thoroughly enjoyed them. i got a ton out of it and id love to learn more about these guys writings
I would add the ones I want to an amazon wish list and check occasionally to see if I can find a cheap used copy. 95% of my books are used, which is far cheaper than new.
Sir Which commentaries gives a comprehensive view on the following verses - Genesis 4:4, 4:14, Exodus 4:11 and 4:24-26, and Deuteronomy 25:11-12 and 29: 23. Thank you very much.
