I love the idea of a notebook to keep track of the different vendors! It would be a great way to keep track of different scents that you like or don't & mix ideas!! I really appreciate the indebted information on all of these vendors - very well done!
Thank you! I just put in my first order with Haley's and it shipped today! I definitely need to check out the other ones too….then I can add them to the video as well! I love your vids, by the way! What is that cute cartoon character that you use in your videos? Is that a placemat?
Vicky K. oh wow I dont order from her no more! she messed up my loaf and never fix it and kicked me out of the group because she said she was not going sale peppermint but she lied. its a big mess. ill stick to Tiffany's candle.
TFS I love your list I have only tried from Ebay and Candles by Victoria. The one from Ebay is called Spirit Canyon :) from Arizona. I picked up the Amish Friendship Bread it was heavenly and I also loved Candles by Victoria ++
I know this is an old video.... but as newbie to the wonderful *waaaaay* BIGGER world of wax, this is exactly what I was hoping to find to get an idea of where to start... as of right now I've only dealt with either wax from Wal-Mart and 1 indie brand, which was my gateway into wax because said vendor branched out into wax from the world of absolutely amazing polish and also amazing body and skin care products. I had placed and order for either polish or body products that I got my first sample of their wax. I opened my mail slot and the scent hit me in the best way.... I'd never smelt something so for lack of better words... perfect! So I fell in love with wax from that day and I've been sucked into the amazing world but I didn't even think about looking into other vendors... I did try another polish maker's wax but wasn't blown away by it so I kinda just stuck with what I knew... So I've only bought from Vapid and I do love the wax... I just am kinda meh about the new method of having to do pre-orders because there are sooooo many scents that I've never smelled and that on paper sound like a good thing.... but in reality... it can be totally hit or miss and I miss the being able to order during a store re-stock and get scents that I hadn't tried before... I also miss that they use to have scent shots and now they only offer clamshells and "puppy paws" which they say you "get up to 2 oz" of wax but I weighted the 4 paws you get minus the baggie they come in and it's only 1.6 oz of wax and they charge more than the cost of the shots and you got more wax... so after discovering the fact that you're not actually getting 2 oz... I am then kinda pushed to order a clam shell where you do get what they say... which is 4 oz... but when you get stuck with scents you don't like it kinda sucks >.>... Gosh I'm going on an almost rant... but I just wanted to really say thank you! I am really looking forward to trying out some new vendors and diving further into the rabbit hole that is wax!
My Random Favorite Things Ha! You want me to remember with all the vendors swirling in my head? LOL :) I honestly can't remember now. I should have said it to begin with!
+luv2garden1 Hi this is awesome ... and wonderful! wax tarts.....I'm in the military and my wife just started this new little business selling wax warmers and more. If you need any or know anyone who would like a warmer.....she has a larger selection then any other retail and has lifetime warranty so if and help her out that would be sooo awesome of you thank you !!!!( you have an awesome attitude too) # more positive ppl need in this world . #smallbusiness #milittarwife #sucsess @ www.milakay.scentsy.us
Another informative video that you have hit out of the park!! Love, love, love!! Good job!! I agree 100% with your list! I'll say it again, I wish so much you were into wax before I was it would've saved me alot of money and alot of aggravation lol. It's refreshing to find a You Tuber that does un-biased reviews and not pimping out certain vendors because they receive free wax lol. I learned that lesson the hard way.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I did plan out this video for a longer period of time. I think that if a YT'er is receiving wax for free and plugging that vendor on a video, that they would disclose it! I would be upset if I ordered from someone based off a review that was not unbiased!
great video!! Sugar and Spice is another GREAT vendor, always open, suuuuuper fast, and great customer service... custom 3 cups scent shots, and custom brittle bags. she also has rts items too.... her tat is like 3 days seriously!
i love your description details! i love it when ppl include information in the description that will help the viewer. especially when the video is covering a lot. have you tried any tiffany candles' soaps?
I have not tried their soap, I had no idea that they have soap! I do need to go back to my Wax 101 video and put in timestamps too….that might be my project this weekend!
I agree with all your choices! As you revealed each one I had to laugh because it was one that I have quite a bit of and love soo much! All great and yummy and a good video for all the newbies!
LOL! I am just so happy that there are so many good vendors out there! I love seeing new vendors pop up as well…since demand is going up so much in general for wax…the more great wax out there, the better for all of us! :-)
This was so incredibly helpful....thank you!!!! I am new to this and have been weary in ordering since I don't know what's good and what's not!!! Can you tell me where you order your 24 watt tart warmers from? I have one that is years old and am having a hard time finding where to order from.
1228Rhonda they do not make the 24 Watt warmers anymore, but sometimes you can still get them from Pier 1. If you have a store near you, go in and make sure they are the 24 Watt by checking the bottom of the warmer…I still found some a month or so ago in the store.
Kimberly Pilkington Tiffany candle n front porch are great. down fall Tiffany shipping is 10... I just made and order I spent 120 but its worth it i did custom n rts but go to her group tiffany candle group.... Tiffany has more kind of wax now. this an old video. oh also, since you asked for suggestions for vendors that are good for newbies I have to say that Dutch/Crabby is awesome!! His tarts are so super good and really strong as well! Just an idea lol
What is your experience with Vintage Chic Scents? Have you tried them yet? I'm on the fence between Front Porch and Vintage Chic for my first vendor wax order :)
I really like VCS, I have melted maybe five (?) things so far, and four of them have thrown well, and one was a medium throw. I like her presentation and theme as well. I would still recommend FP as a first buy, because buying from VCS is higher stress. She will restock, everyone is lurking, and things start flying! Her website will not save items in your cart, so you can put stuff in just to lose it later…and I would hate for that to be your first experience. Also, on the website, it is hard to see what is in stock, unless you already know beforehand (from the FB page) what she is stocking. If you don't know, you will end up clicking on every item to see if it is in stock. So I definitely recommend FP for your first buy, but also still recommend VCS in general. She is also reformulating her wax, because other people have given her feedback that they want the throw, and length of throw, improved….but I have been happy with what I have! I hope that helps!
My Random Favorite Things Thank you so much I will take that into account, I hadn't realized the items she has listed on VCS aren't actually in stock (well the ones I really wanted at least). Will have to give FP a try :) awesome video by the way and SUPER helpful, can't thank you enough for giving us newbies a very thorough introduction to the wax world!
I don't understand? I am researching this stuff and thought your link would be helpful. I haven't found any actual WAX for beginners getting in to this field, but these are premade things. What am I missing? Your reviews are about tarts and actual candles.
