I've been building my OBS Suite out to do something quite similar, with a few more bells and whistles. There is a ton of content on the tech side, but not much on the production side. While I'm quite happy to riff my way through a conversation, I have been struggling with figuring out how to deploy the overall sequencing to make a polished final product in the least amount of time and hassle. You absolutely nailed that topic, and it was exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for making this video!
Great! Why do you use Audio hijack instead of OBS ninja? And how do you download directly from OBS a separate voice without any effects once the record or stream is over?
I haven't tried OBS Ninja. Also the idea is not to have to do any editing (or post-processing, or waiting for an hour of video t export) so I don't record anything separately!
Thank you for sharing Michael, I've wathed this video maybe over 25 times. It's a unique way of working with video podcast. If you just don't want to waste too many time on post video editing. My plan is to pre record my solo talks, reading from my script, make mp4's and add them laster in podcast in Reaper (yes you can edit video in Reaper). And then while recording the podcast, I will use my streamdeck and switch scenes in OBS. So in the end I have two video layers: one layer with pre-recorded content and a second video layer I recorded while podcasting with my guest. Then edit it all in post.
