He's just not a hugger. I don't think there's more to it. To be honest, sometimes some players go overboard with hugging and kissing. Especially if it the round 1. They're hugging and kissing like they won the championship.
might see it more often in the future though... thx to: Danny Noppert, MvG, RvB, Gian van Veen, Wessel Nijman, Niels Zonnefeld and maybe some more talents coming up in the future from the NL
Think players are putting extra practice in to be on form for the last few majors of the year + the world championships, and its showing. With a field this good there can be like 20 different world championship winners. Luke luke rob michael nathan gian josh wessel martin and gerwyn are already 10
Agreed. Just a bit off last few weeks, like Humphries, but he is the boy to beat and the future of darts. When he's on it, he is unplayable. The Ronnie O of darts!
Littler played as good as Humphries did in his world Grand Prix semi final against Ryan Joyce. Tournament record average is no joke. Littler is as good as Humphries at his best
No he ain't, he's just a fluke. I'm a fellow professional at darts and Luke Littler doesn't even practice and plays like that. It really does insult me as a professional. There are ACTUAL Professionals who work so hard to try and get to the big leagues and then there's Luke Littler who is 17 and doesn't even practice and just plays videogames in his spare time who somehow went to the big leagues. It really is a slap in the face to us Fellow PROFESSIONALS. I'm speaking on behalf of the Professionals who work so hard to try and get into the big leagues here.

Great night of darts but Luke littler for me when he’s on his day is unstoppable what a darter also FairPlay to aspinal his mate knew he was great and showed respect FairPlay the ASP ❤🎯
Just because people love the sports doesn't necessarily mean they love the channel! If the quality of this channel would be as good as the games of the players I'd agree with you!! This channel confirms the saying 'Just because you're the best doesn't necessarily mean you're good"!
The bullet literally loses legitimate distance from the board where he stands. I'm not a darts pro, I'm pretty good, not great, but I'm an athlete, and an all around gamer. I ask the more experienced here: Doesn't it make sense to be as close to your target as possible? Like players with the straight foot.
You are correct, but I assume it's to do with how his darts land and how he likes to group them. He's been throwing from the same place since I first saw him
@@THP999 Thanks. It kind of drives me nuts. I love Steve, hell of a darts player, but I think he's hurting his game that way. My personal example I relate to that is, as a scratch tenpin bowler with several perfect games, my sliding foot on the approach ends up about 2 mm behind the foul line every time. It doesn't make mathematical sense to me to be farther away. I lean towards the board so much from exactly the center of the oche I almost fall over, and my averages have improved greatly since that change.
The commentators have explained it before, it's from his childhood. They didn't have enough space for the dart board in the house, so he always had to stand to the side to be able to play, and kept the tradition
@teejay6063 interesting comparison. I actually alternate a fair bit, with my foot straight ahead for the most part, but will go sideways or even in between sometimes. Just feeling comfortable is the most important thing.... my knee can play up over a long day. I think the moral maybe, there is no right way to throw darts???
@@andyrigby5010 Bunting lost finals to Nijman, Dobey and Humphries on three consecutive days earlier this month. I think that measures up very nicely against most other players when comparing recent form.
PDC need to get a grip, fancy ending the stream before we got to hear what Snakebite’s new nickname is. Joking aside just ending the stream without knowing the result is very poor
@lukesimpson3080 no, but winning the players championship, grand slam, world grand prix, world matchplay and world championship does, but why let facts get in the way of your obsessive dislike of Humphries 😂
@superyid2010 I love darts, don't have a particular favourite player (maybe Clayton and Aspinall for their genuine sportsmanship) and don't dislike any players, both Littler and Humphries are incredible in my opinion, but facts are facts, Humphries is world number 1 and thoroughly deserves to be.
