And it speaks to sheer strength and scale of the Democratic base. We’re a constitutional republic not a democracy…you should go back to school and learn basic government. The electoral college ensures cities with massive populations don’t dictate how the country should be ran.
The EC is a relic from 1809, a time when most of the Western part of the USA was still wilderness- there were only 18 states in 1812, there were no telephones, telegraphs, mail had to go by stage coach or horse and took weeks or months to arrive, and there were only 7,239,881 people in the entire country in 1810- NY City today alone has more! There's 50 states and 334 million people to-day, times have changed, the EC is a relic from the pre telegraph era which should have been removed already for the majority/popular vote.
