His battle will be one of patience and precision so it won't be very action filled, but will have lots of tension. As for the outcome, I do believe Simo will win if he fights Apollo. I have a theory and in order for it to happen, the Greek gods must all lose and Loki needs to win (which is still possible)

A problem I have with Hercules is how he doesn’t question the gods for trying to kill humanity again when they promised him they wouldn’t. Also what was Hercules plan if Zeus said NO.
That's exactly why I didn't like Hercules. He said that he loves humans and yet he fought against them. Buddha on the other hand ACTUALLY fought for humanity after declaring himself our ally. Take notes Hercules, that's how things are done.

I want Simo to win. Man was one of the most deadly people in history, I think he had a count of 400 during the war between Russia and Finland, even having to walk off part of his jaw being blown off by a bullet.
Apollo should win his match, The greek gods have been absolutely shafted this whole manga outside of Zeus who many think should have lost his match anyways. So Simo will probably end up losing unless he faces someone else

My big hot take is that the entire fanbase is putting too much emphasis on strength or feats or anything like that. Unless they feel like pulling the swerve of the century this is going to go to the final round. People are gonna win or lose because the plot needs it. I would really like it if we concentrated less on hax or feats or whatever and more on what matchups have the most potential for interesting character interactions and stories.
The reason Sasaki vs Poseidon fight gave Poseidon a big advantage was the open space and tight area for the spearman, Sasaki was positioned at the edge to begin with and naturally gave Poseidon an advantage tactically. Poseidon did really fight til his last breath but it was when his pride was challenged that he let his guard down.
Too bad Sasaki Learned "Mikiri Counter" mid fight. -Sekiro Reference- Sasaki's greatest asset is his learning speed is so fast that he starts to predict the enemy.
Hard agree on Thor. He's still of of RoR best character and still as close to his myth as Anime Logic lets him. Plus it looks like he'll stick up for humanity if it comes to that so there's definitely room for character development. Even the anime Mjolnir has grown on me

Actually, Odin vs Nostradamus would be a good match up for a few other reasons, too. I think Prophecy is supposed to be in his domain, for instance, and their mutual searches for knowledge... Odin giving up actual parts of his body to "learn" things and Nostradamus' "I'm the sort of guy who, when he gets an idea in his head, has to try it." Remark... They'd make good foils for each other.
Finally, someone who agrees that Odin vs Nostradamus would be a good match up (keep seeing the Odin vs Leonidas everywhere). Since Zeus, the king of Greek gods fought the ace of humanity, then it would be fitting to see Odin, the king of Norse gods to fight the joker of humanity .
I agree with some things regarding Soji Okita and maybe he should lose but he’s still one of my favourite characters Nostradamus could possibly lose against Odin but I would like to think he will do some serious damage to the Allfather after a hard fight. I think that rhe tesla fight will go into a draw leaving the score at 4-3 for the humans or however the tie works for scoring. Then it will be the Okita fight and he will lose that making the score 4-4 tied overall. Then I think Sakata will fight and lose making the score overall 4-5 in favor of the gods and Brunhilde trying to get a foothold in the tournament will send out Nostradamus and this is a hot take but I think he will lose making the score overall 4-6 in favor of the gods and with the element of surprise humanity will unleash the man who cannot die and Rasputin will beat Anubis making the score 5-6 in favor of the gods. Now back on track Brunhilde will send Simo Hayha in the Finnish snow and he will put Apollo into a frosty grave making the score 6-6 tied overall and with the loss of Apollo King Leonidas being the last hope for Humanity leads the charge in the last fight of Ragnorok and here I think Leonidas will win thus winning the tournament for humanity. Remember this is a speculation and prediction so don't take it to seriously.
Yeah I kind of agree with that thought process. I think it would be a real shock if Nostradamus actually lost and it would up the desperation of the next fight.
I have a feeling that humanity will lose and nostradamus's "fake prediction" will ironically come true, however I believe the surviving fighters of the gods side may come to protest against ending humanity as I think most of them changed their view on humanity after their fights and perhaps persuade the rest of the gods watching to also have a slight change of heart and maybe via a second vote, the gods may vote in favour of humanity survival and that might be how humanity survives despite losing in ragnarok.
My takeaways: Qin Shi Huang VS Lu Bu: For One way I see who wins in fights is through their experiences. While Lu Bu not only has raw power and even potential especially with his sky eater he was seemingly not pushed far enough to even see his limit unlike Qin Shi Huang where he not only actually trained his abilities (Which makes him a very balanced fighter) but he even beat an extremely powerful demon/diety (Unless Im remembering wrong). Jack not being jack: I hella disagree. The main reason why I know about jack is because of how fantasized he is especially because no one actually knows the truth as far as im concerned. Not only is it more realistic that Jack the Ripper is just a normal guy but it just feels funny/ironic that the person that everyone sees is a pure intelligent demon is just a normal guy that was able to get away with it. (Until the jack we know in the story steals the tittle instead) Shiva: This is a 50/50 for me in one sense people need to relax since this is only a fictional representation of the shiva we know. Buuuut at the same time they are basing it of a religious figure so I can understand why actual religious people would be irritated for their belief to be an manga/anime. Simo and Leonidas being overhyped: Hella disagree again since although I do know the history of simo not really about leonidas. But ye we haven't seen anything at all yet so idk. Hades: I just feel like they could have done more. Like actually showing death abilities and such. ROR and magic: There should be no reason magic would be involved at this point just look at the past humans and tell me if their history should have magic. Obviously characters like rasputin, nostradamus, and maybe even some of the gods might have some form of magic to use. For sasaki: Based on abilities yes he would be the best and logically him and buhdas fight would be more of a stalemate because of them having weapons. Another thing is that while budha will see what can happen in the future won't sasakis ability fk with him considering he is thinking of multiple paths and at that point wont sasaki be able to also know what budha will do too? (Again for the adam dick riders are you sure he can copy weapon techniques).

I cried when Adam died. Lu Bu I understood his death. He eas a character who helped set the stakes. But Adam losing tore my heart out. He was ten toes down even when he was ten toes up.
I def wouldn't call Qin underrated, whenever I see a Vs video people have overhyped him and his abilities, yeah he's strong but I don't think he's beating everyone. Also, Shiva is probably my favorite god but I think a lot of the fandoms opinions of him come from the memes or the nuts who hate that he's in the series.
Honestly, Lu Bu being called "China's most powerful" while still being 'weaker' than Qin does make sense. He at the time of the 3 kingdoms, was considered to be the strongest physically, capable of splitting skies, and even in the spin off manga was just him merely brute forcing his way through every battle. He breaks through shields like nothing, honoured his horse by carrying him by his shoulders when said horse was too injured to walk, and many more. Qin on the other hand is more reliant on skills as he can deflect basically anything with his breath. Also, besides the demon dude, Qin was never known as a fighter, but as the first emperor. The public called Lu Bu the most powerful solely because he was known to be powerful, but not Qin. Also if it's every revealed that Simo does fight Apollo, it would be really fitting if they changed the arena into a forest. And since the humans can't do it, Apollo would be the one to request for the change, be it because of his arrogance, or just two hunters duking it out.
I really think Simo should win.... When was the last time Finland or their heroes real or otherwise got any shine in a story? Also thors fight is the only one that made the gods really feel godly by comparison to the humans
I'd like Simo and Rasputin to win their rounds just so humanity's champions aren't all "Ancient" heroes... And it leaves open questions of what the roster will have when the vote happens again in 1,000 more years (if mankind isn't exterminated here and now)
We in Finland don't really have mountains that much :p But I know none of the Record of Ragnarok characters are even close to trying to be historically accurate so definitely don't mind which way they go.
I have a feeling like somewhere there is going to be a plot twist and humans and gods will have to fight together against a greater threat or heck... the gods might win but see humanity as worthy of continuing to exist after all of the wonderful fights.
My hot take is that the humans win however they make the demand that as the gods have lost that they are next to be decided on whether they’re worthy of ruling humanity. So then in 1000 years humanity decide wether gods are capable of guiding humanity and ruling it. That would be a nice twist of fate.
I agree that humanity will lose but I think the gods who fought in the tournament will save them and since at least 2 of the chief gods are guaranteed to make it to the end (Zeus and Shiva) I doubt any other god would disagree.
You do notice that by each passing round the gods are seeing that humanity is more powerful then they first thought for they judged humanity as being nothing but monsters with their wars etc etc. But each human who fights shows the gods that humanity is not all bad. Not to mention they call out the gods for being massive hypocrites(which in truth they are) for what of their crimes or poor judgements etc etc. Plus you are forgetting that Buddha was once human until he reached true enlightenment and became one of the prime gods of a pantheon and not to mention that some of the other gods are slowly changing their thoughts on the humans.
my opinion on some of the hot takes: anubis isnt even top 3 in egyptian mythology heracles wasnt a mid character buddha just did it better ror needed a powersystem but it is too late right now if they where to make one they should had done that with zeus or poseidon if not from the first round if the author has the balls to erase humanity he is a legend
Hot take: Dom Pedro II would have been a better fighter than Okita. I imagine him being an old AF Guy but when he gets his volunder he would become a 15 year old, referencing the fact he became the emperor of Brazil with that age. His volunder would be a sword that messes with time, receding things it touches back to where It came from. I image him fighting Loki and being a battle between tricks from both sides.

Heres something weird that made me pretty mad when first watching the anime (I saw the anime before I read the manga) it annoyed me how big Mjolnir was in Ror, mostly because the whole issue with it in Norse Myth is that its too small for anyone to wield, this is 100% a nittpick but it still annoyed me
I think the gods restrict themselves atleast somewhat if the gods used there divine powers it would not even be a competition would be completely unfair i dont even think any humans that fought in the anime would have won yet if zeus used thunder and poseidon just drowned sasaki for example.
Read the lu bu light novel and you'll get all his real feats and he is close to thor but his weapon couldn't handle the move so his halberd disintegrated so he couldn't have won

i disagree with the buddha one. i think his backstory was perfectly fine, considering the fact that buddha in irl history has an actual full backstory and the because of that, the manga cant stray too far away from it otherwise people would be upset. yes, this is fictional so it wouldnt really matter that much, but people tend to overlook that fact

Why would you respect the author for making the gods win and end humanity? I hope it's not just because it'd be edgy. Not sparing humanity would trample with all the themes and messages of every single battle so far. Narratively it would be just as bad, or even worse, as Jamie Lannister's character development in Game of Thrones.

The hades vs quin fight was the first time i fellt genuine bias in a matchup. Quin gets 2 flashbacks, a cool abilities and the dub And everything about hades is mid at best. Reused fightingstyle/weapon, barely any motivation and a very mid ability Worst part is it fellt lkke there could have been more with him. At the start when all his moves where named after jis wife i thought there was something. They could have done alot with him but choose to make him a basic obstacle for the star to overcome
There's clear bias towards the eastern religious figures and characters. -Except Zeus, all greek members lost. One to a Chinese figure. One to a Japanese folk hero. Hercules lost to Jack for the shock value. -I knew Shiva wasn't losing because they were definitely worried about the backlash of including him. The manga was already banned in some countries. Purely for Shivas inclusion. Imagine how much worse if they made Shiva Lost. -Budda wasn't losing because he holds religious importance to Japan and other Eastern Religions.

Because first of all he has a good ability copy and emulate like as soon as you think to attack he has already copy your technique Now I don't know if he can actually compete against Prime Zeus (vs Chronos) but in terms of raw strength he isn't far from Zeus he showed his speed and he has an insane endurance bcs when Zeus was in his adamas form every one of his punches should've been a one shot kill but he took all of his punches and after being blinded by Zeus blood he managed to give him a very hard time and even Zeus himself agreed that Adam in terms of endurance and willpower was better than him
This is just my fantasy.... :) It would be cool if humanity continues to be at a disadvantage against gods, until in the last match, instead of the regular battle, another human want to talk with that god. (Like Zeus change with shiva) He is a just a normal citizien of ancient time, who hold an immense grudge towards that god, to whom he prayed for a long time to save his family... But nothing happened and his family died horribly. Seeing all of this disadvantage, against arrogant gods who think so highly of themselves... I wish all this difference in power would pour on them. I would like a normal human going berserk, in a uncontrollable rage rushing towards him, with his hand on god's face, and crushing the god on the stands.
