This collection of songs is a live recording session during preparation to support the Album Circus Maximus in 2007. Two of these songs were already written but not recorded “Too Late Now” and “California (All Night Radio)”. The other three we spontaneously created. One of the more elusive goals I’ve had as a musician is to “capture the magic”. Whether it’s live or recording in the studio there’s an unpredictable moment where the MUSE lands on your shoulder and you get lost in the music, it sometimes feels like someone else is playing your instrument. This particular session is raw at times, but I feel the band is tapping into something special and the music uniquely captures this moment in time.
