Hey do you sing? I have a whopping 67... wait no just lost another... 66 followers on soundcloud, looking for a vocalist to add some punch to my songs 🎵
@@CreatingChaos nah lol. there’s plenty of dudes I learn from too. Calm down. I just love seeing women in an industry where there are definitely more men.
@@CreatingChaos you’re missing the point 🤡 Going back one last time to clarity yet again I am proud of seeing more women in the industry that I can learn from. I’m just happy to see it and support her and learn from her because women in this industry are in fact a minority. I should not have to explain this to you. Taking 5 min to educate yourself would solve that. Because I am stoked to see and support and learn from a woman does not make men any less good or educational. Women empowering/supporting women is important and I’m incredibly proud of her. Being excited to learn from a woman is not discrediting producers who aren’t women or that I HAVE to learn only from women. It’s just great to see. I learn from all genders. I respect and appreciate everyone, I’m just especially excited that I’m starting to see more women in the industry and I’m not only learning from dudes. It makes me feel much more included and normalized. I’m not sure why this is so triggering/upsetting for you. Hope that answered your questions. Have a great day!
I’m so glad that someone as knowledgeable as you records with the vocal chain on. I do that as well because I also find myself getting way better performances, but my friend who went to a prestigious school for audio engineering would probably give me a talking down to for doing so 😆
Great job! Try a Vocal Booth :) plus forget FELX PITCH got buy Melodyne 5...you'll never go back . No artifact so much more control tweaking. I understand this was mainly Stock Plug-Ins. Very good Your Talented::) George Amodei
Omg this is what I was looking for. I have all the same equipment and I was still struggling to record clear vocals and was looking up videos for days for advice and mixing and even considered buying different equipment because non of the videos were helpful. This is the first video that I saw from your channel and it showed me that it is possible with the same equipment. Definitely subscribing, I am so glad I found you. Thank you for proving me wrong ❤ This was a huge inspiration.
Really like it. I have been an avid user of Garage band on my iPad pro for many years and now have bought Yamaha HS7'S a Focusrite 2i2 and looking at a Rode Nt1. My only issue is what DAW to use. I believe the transition from Garage band to Logic is the best move...what do you think.? Could use some help.
Hello, please help me, how do you get a sweet sound in this microphone? It's a bit of a painful microphone in the middle and high frequencies, it always records a lot of low frequencies. Please help me, thank you.
Hi Valentina, How do you monitor with your vocal chain /fx as you record? When I record and monitor my voice, I hear a long delay latency. So I tend to record with a dry sound in my headphones and add the vocal chain afterwards.
watching Valentina take literally 20 secs to auto correct one part when you did 25+ takes on your chorus alone cuz you're not savvy at producing 😂😅🤦♀️🤷♀️
@@larkimolorin Yes, I sing. I just bought a new Mac and had the protools loaded on at purchase. I think I am going to buy the system she has and hope it works haha !
@@makeupwithcass7165im very sure it will be fixed, its a minor issue, i just got my mac and my soundcard too,,i can't wait to start recording at the comfort of my home..do you have any of your released songs online?
Hi Valentina, I just purchased your Lead Vocal preset but I’m having a tough time understanding the instructions ( User Name/Music/Audio Music Apps/Channel Strip Settings/Track ). I found the folder in finder, but I’m not following on where exactly to paste them from there. I notice other people in the comments are having the same problem. Can you please do a step by step video on how to do these steps?
Sorry to hear you’ve been having trouble. Hopefully this will help you. That folder path you pasted from the instructions, that’s where you need to paste the files. “User name” is the name of your computer. For example mine is valentinabilancieri/music/audio music apps/channel strip settings/track. That’s where you’ll paste the main vocal chain. The bus settings you’ll want to paste in the same folder path except instead of track, it’s bus at the end. I hope that helps.
Valentine thank you for this video! I have a few questions if you could get back to me I would really appreciate. What is vocal chain on 5.04?What does pitch correct mean?Do you think zoom h6 can be used for vocal records instead of a separate condenser mic?
Thank you so much for taking the time to create this video. I've been struggling with a Logic Pro setting, and was hoping you can help! Do you know how to record vocals on Logic Pro so that it "behaves" like Garageband? Meaning: I would like to remove the comp/takes capability. Every time I record, I would like to just directly replace the audio right on top (even if it's in the middle of a phrase), but then also have the audio be able to "peel" back on either side. Kind of like a cassette tape. Thank you so much!
Another thing I forgot to mention is the audio interface. If people want high end quality, then they should not be using Scarlet. They should use something like Apollo Twin or Audient id20. I prefer Audient cause it’s more economical, but Apollo Twin is known to be more professional.
About the input gain, for ppl that sing low in volume I feel like what u said won't work. I always wondered how those singers recorded 🧐 I'm guessing they already got the vocal chain on so their gain is bumped up thru compressors and other plug-ins. Could u give me some insight on that?
Can somebody explain to me where to paste the downloaded files Lead Vocal Preset? I have them downloaded, but I don't understand the "PASTE" directions. Paste to where?
Padre the lead preset at this location: Your User Name/Music/Audio Music Apps/Channel Strip Settings/Track And then paste the bus settings to this folder: Your User Name/Music/Audio Music Apps/Channel Strip Settings/Bus
@@bigacreations I've had the download for weeks and I still don' t understand how to open it. I don't understand the paste instructions. I don't know how to locate folder, etc. Please, if you can give me more direction, I'd be grateful. :(
Ashley K. Davis Go in finder and copy the lead vocal preset. After you’ve done that, type in Audio Music Apps in the finder browser. When you see the folder 📁 Open it and you should see the Channel strip setting folder 📁. Go in that folder and you should see the Track folder where your going to paste the Lead vocal preset. Highlight the Track folder and hit paste. Once you’ve done that, drag the Lead Vocal Preset to the Track folder and paste it. Repeat that same process with the Bus presets. You should see the Bus folder there.
