Is it better to record PowerPoint presentations from within PowerPoint? Or by exporting the PPT pages as image files? If I don't use PPT animation, what do I gain using PowerPoint? Some kind person please advise.

Sorry we didn't see this comment until now, I hope it's not too late to still answer. This is usually personal preference, however, as you already stated, you're not using PPT transitions, so my personal opinion is import your powerpoint images into Camtasia and edit solely in Camtasia. But I also really like presenting a powerpoint while recording the screen. Either is a great option. But importing your slideshow FROM PPT might be more hassle than it's worth if you're not including transitions and those kind of preferences.

how do you capture video directly from an http source direct to mp4 without resorting to screen capture with suffers extreme quality loss. I have J-tech Video Encoder that broadcasts an HTTP stream already encoded H.264 video over local network. I want to capture that to a file directly not screen capture.

Can I live stream with another person and record both of our videos and the screen?

Not all three, no. In one instance of Camtasia you can record one screen. So, if you were recording the stream with both people you'd be all set. But if you wanted the individual cameras/screens recorded separately you'd need each person to have a license similar to if you were recording their audio separately.

What about 60FPS in recording in camtasia screen recording?

Interesting answer: Camtasia 2021 doesn't capture at a constant frame rate (CFR) and because of this there are times it *will* get up to 60fps (if you select that in the settings), however it is a Variable Frame Rate (VFR). You can choose 60fps, but it will never be a true 60fps recording. This is true of selecting 30fps as well. @@techsmith So you mean to say now Camtasia recoder 2021 recorder supports 60FPS right? because at start we heard it didn't

@@doctor.networks We don't advertise that because it is NOT a constant 60fps, and as a measurable outcome we don't want to promise it. As a VFR it can get up to 60fps, yes.
