What Sound Does an Ant make?
I was Field Recording in the Forest and saw that Giant Ant Hill and thought it would be perfect to test my new Interharmonics Tactus Geofon.
Interharmonics is a new manufacturer from Austria building this Geofon, similar to the well known LOM Geofon (which is always sold out).
I will do soon a full Review on the Interharmonics Geofon called Tactus on this Channel.

I came for the sounds, but in this case, I prefer the close up video takes of the ants. Crazy what's going on on such a hill.

Wow what dedication! Thank you for this video. While watching, I was constantly thinking about how you'll get the ants out, once you are done (and R.I.P to the few ants under the geofon) The sounds sometimes remind me of a geiger counter working:)

Very cool sounds. It would be interesting to here the sounds from inside the hill. If you do go back, take a can of compressed air to blow the ants off the gear.

You can hear the sounds from inside at the parts where it says "Interharmonics tactus" only. The sound from inside was captured with a Geofon. I used my blow rocket for camera cleaning to get rid of the ants from the gear. But it took a while because they can hold on it pretty strong 😅

Hello there, how different is this geophon compared to the lom geofon? I own one from lom and after receiving it I thought a pair could be great... listening to your examples make me think that they are super different though.

I don´t used the LOM until noe. But I think this is a exact replica of it. What doy you think is different?
