Thanks for revisiting this for us! I was pretty sure the AM feature would be added quickly, but I had no idea it would be THIS quickly, so thanks for camping on the topic. Aircraft monitoring is kind of a no-brainer application for this software and I think that's why so many people were clamoring for it. Radio comms for (especially commercial) flights hop thru several frequencies. Typically each handoff is a different frequency: Ground, Departure, Center, maybe another Center, Approach and Ground again. Of course you're not likely to be able to receive *all* those comms of a particular flight, but I would like to be able to catch (semi) local approaches and departures at KTUL, including their handoffs to/from Kansas City Center (vZKC). This oughta give me the best chance to do that, so Imma give it a shot :)

Confirmed I have this working. I’m using a Raspberry Pi 4, 4GB model, 64GB SD card, Nooelec RTL-SDR v5 SDR, a D1000 whip antenna from Broadsword. OS I’m using Pi OS 64 Lite. Enable SHH and installed Docker from sdr-enthusiasts/docker-install on Github. I have it set to scan 121-134mhz which covers everything at my local airport. I will relocate it latter today to the loft and connect it to my Slim G antenna. Thank you for the update.

My Pi4 is being delivered today and I probably have a long way to go before I'm ready to tackle this precisely BUT is there a way to set it to scan a pre-defined list instead of a range? For instance, the published local approach/control/ground frequencies only any given facility? I'll ultimately be using this to capture radio transmissions at motorsports events where racers use UHF radios to communicate but the idea is similar to capturing air traffic.

I’ve recently subscribed to your channel because of your excellent content. Since you’re so into RF and SDR, I was hoping you could explain or do a video on SDA’s(Software Defined Antennas). I only recently stumbled upon this topic and have asked a few people about it but with no response. And I’m pretty sure it’s not antennae made specifically for SDR but rather an Antenna with the majority of its characteristics managed in software. I’m just starting to get my head around SDR mottling around with GNU Radio Companion, which was the first place I looked for more info but with no luck. Any thoughts or input you might have would be greatly appreciated

Can't get it to work properly! I'm a Windows 10 hosting a Ubuntu VM on Oracle Virtual Box. I get a spectrograms but no transmissions! Only works if the frequency interval matchs the sample rate! Otherwise it assumes kHz instead of MHz. Is there documentation available?

@@Randrew hi there, yes I have done! Especially when iv gone up into the mountains, i always take a shortwave radio to listen to I the tent at night and sometimes taken a baofeng uv-5r. All the best 👍 🙏

I totally want to get this working, but I was having issues getting the docker i.age to run for more than a few seconds before crashing. Never was able to get the web interface to come up. I was running it on Ubuntu on Orange pi 4 LTS, but I might try from a VM on my windows laptop this weekend.

I tried on Ubuntu orange pi too, never could get it working so I shifted to VM on my PC. Maybe it will work on orange pi with some tweaking.

I was able to get it to work on my laptop! All I had to do was pull the bandaid off and get rid of Windows, load DragonOS and this, along with a host of other SDR tools are working great.

I like the concept but the project isn’t open source yet. The web UI is closed. Also I have yet to get it to work with my hackrf for some reason. Nothing is recorded. Perhaps it’s my config or something.
