Nice! I'm actually using the p16's, but I'm trying to look up ways to record in STEREO; I use the Irig, and I"m getting a good sound from it, only thing is, it's in Mono. Any thoughts?

Yes, the iRig is Mono, only one channel. You need an interface with 2 Inputs. such as the "Focusrite Scarlett 2i2". You could also use the USB on the top of the x32 if that isn't being used, to record 2 separate sources from within x32.

Do you have to have a particular software for the aviom to record audio and digital on your iPhone or live feed on social media?

Nope. The Voice Memos App on my iPhone works great to just record audio. If I want video then use the iPhone camera and the audio come from the iRig. For streaming just use the RU-vid or FB app and the audio should come from the iRig. -Nathan

Thanks for the video. Just one question, is it possible to live stream audio with OBS through Behringher p2 headphone jack? or will it delay the sound too much and it is better to use iRIG?

I recommend you get a Scarlott 2i2 audio interface to get stereo XLR signal into OBS on the computer. amzn.to/3xTM7gD Alternatively, Yes you could use the output of the p2, to connect the 1/8" port to the mic input on the computer.

So, I’m recording from a p16. If i dont have a 1/4 to male xlr cable, could i just use a 1/4 cable line out to direct box and from direct box xlr out to my interface?

If I hook my phone to the iem can I record video with my phone and have that audio record in sync with the video?

Yes, your iPhone should accept audio from the interface during a video. I have done that many times.

please, I want to ask. if i have a personal monitor mixer p16 and i have an analog mixer but i do not have a direct out . So what should I do ?

If you have a P16, but don’t have an X32 console or Rack, then you can’t use the P16. If you want to record from an Analog console I’d look into using the RCA Out, or a 1/4” out, or even out a Y cable on one of the passive XLR cables going to the Amps. This is a great video, thank you so much! I intend on recording my IEM mix from a P16 this week - can I do this by using a splitter from headphone port, to an iPad or similar device? Thanks!

Hope it goes well! Use a 1/8” splitter just like I did in this video to get a copy of the IEM mix, then convert that 1/8” to XLR to go into the iRig, into the ipad.

Also. Test, Test, Test. Christmas Eve or Day is not the time to do this for the first time lol! If you don’t test this, I almost guarantee things won’t go as desired. Find a device with a 1/8” jack at home, and practice hearing the mix in your IEMs, as well as sending the signal into you phone or iPad. 😃 Merry Christmas! 🎁

so I need to use a irig interface to récord to my phone. can I try conecting directly to my phone without a irig?

Ideally Yes. The iRig gives you an XLR input and higher quality electronics for the Pre-Amps than your phone. It is also possible to use the headphone jack to input Audio on a phone, or get a lightning to 3.5mm headphone input cable.

Great video! I tried recording from my P-16 into a zoom camera today and it worked but I only heard keyboards and not any of the other instruments in the mix. I went out of my P-16 via stereo cable to an XLR cable into my camera. Any ideas of what may have caused me to only be hearing keyboards?

I’m guessing you aren’t the keys player and that’s normal to hear mostly keys. 😂 Just kidding. That’s weird though, What output did you use? The Phones, or one of the lines out? Which one are your IEMs plugged into? I haven’t used the P16s very much, but if you used the headphones 1/4 output you might have the keys soloed, assuming that is a thing. 😀-Nathan

I was wondering about recording an ear mix from a wireless pack using a go pro. I have the original go pro audio adapter but I still don’t get any audio when I record with my go pro 8. Please help 😬

What is the Original Audio Adaptor? I only have a Hero7 and I had to get the USB-C to 1/8" Adaptor to Input Audio into mine.

That laptop is literally like a 2014 MacBook Pro. It does not take much computer wise as long as the software is still comparable with the OSX updates the machine can handle. -Nathan R

Hi I was wondering if I can record my in ear mix on my phone ? Have a Behringer PM1 and I just purchased a Behringer umc22 interface. Would that work for some recording? I also have an irig 2 that I can use.

Use a Y cable to send the signal to both the PM1 body pack, and the umc22 interface. Then get a usb to (phone port) cable to plug the interface into your phone. You need to test it, these interfaces are powered by the USB device, so if the phone can’t supply enough power it won’t work.

Hello, I currently use a P16M at my church to record the worship service. The digital audio comes in via ethernet, and I can balance all 16 channel tracks individually, then I plug 1/4" line out into my USB audio 1/8" mic jack on my laptop to record the audio. However, I have no ability to split the channels in DAW software on my laptop. How would I connect the P16M to my laptop to record all 16 channels in my DAW software? I would like to be able to play with the mix after recording to produce tailored mastors for the musicians. I.e., mute the bass guitar channel in my DAW and export to .mp3 with everything but bass for my bass player to practice with. Do I need to buy a piece of equipment for that?

Hi, So the P16 is designed to be a personal mixer for In-Ear Monitors on stage. Users can mix the 16 channels and output the sound to their In Ears Monitors IEMs. In order to interface with all 16 channels, you will need to connect to your mixer via USB and use a DAW to capture each channel. @@CrazyAmazingDesigns, hm, I see. That might be a problem. Our mixer is an older 3204-VLZ3. It does have a USB-B port in the back, but from what I've read that only provides 4 channels to your DAW software. But our P16M's plug into another device, not the actual mixer. I think I need to find out what that device is, as it certainly has the ability to push out the multi channel digital audio. Thank you, I think that kind of clued me in to something!
