I am BRAVE! Went on a group hike today for an hour. This is only my second group hike as I feel so vulnerable going with a group and usually hike alone. I practiced Dan’s technique of tapping myself on the heart and said “I’m good”. I was willing to accept whatever happened with my symptoms, being outcome independent. I’m so glad I went because it was beautiful and I met some fun people and got to see some old friends. kept thinking of Dan's statement "you have to be willing to experience your symptoms in order to heal" Dan, love your distinction between positive thinking and accurate knowledge. Accurate knowledge is the key to this process.

I am recovering using this method. I didn't realize before I learned about TMS, or PDP, the huge role that fear plays in chronic pain. Using Dan's group coaching, I harnessed my thoughts and gradually tamed my fearful brain, a process that can be direct or roundabout. I'm not completely recovered but I'm getting there--an accurate and hopeful assessment of my situation.

That’s what I’m doing-borrowing Dan’s confidence and clarity. That and “changing the lens” that I’m seeing through. No matter what-thinking, emotions, thoughts, etc. ❤

I got Covid too this week, staying calm ( telling myself I’m safe) and doing Buteyko breathing has made all the difference

I have ANTS, automatic negative thoughts. I find it very difficult to control my thinking. I do believe it should be possible to be masters of our minds.

That's not ANTS. It's your ego talking shit. No need to give it another label. Labels don't serve us. Aaron Abke has good content on the ego, what it is and how it operates. Same for Eckhart Tolle.

I also heard you Dan say to let these thoughts just be . Observe them allow them to just BE. Don’t resist them. Correct? And then reassure and know you’re on the right path. I feel when I try to override those thoughts I feel lots of resistance. So I just let them run but I HAVE the CLARITY what is happening

Let them be because what’s wrong is a PERCEPTION, not a fact. If you were factually in pain meaning something was really wrong, then the cause for concern is worthy. We are safe, but our brains are interpreting something as really wrong. So resisting the thoughts is telling your brain that there’s something really wrong but observing your thoughts and not fighting tells your brain you are safe.

U are not broken - your brain perceives danger that is not there - and that is the cause of the symptoms. U are not sick or broken. - observe and do not struggle to get rid of symptoms. Observe rationalize in your mind - oh this is my brain perceiving danger that is not there. Okay no need to panic no need to judge where I think I should be in this journey. I am where I am and it is okay. I am safe. I am well.

It’s sooooooo hard to not think about my pain when my stomach and head hurts so bad. How do I ignore that? I try to be indifferent. Somehow I got lucky to have dizziness and head and stomach pain😮. How did I get here and how do I escape the suffering? Thank you for you effort.

And the beating gets shorter so the wrong mussels must help doing the work. My neevpain spreads out more when the stresslevel increases. I

There is NO benefit to the body. If the brain perceives danger, pain is the warning. But most chronic pain is "perceived" danger, not actual. Learn more at my fast start playlist: DansFastStart.com

I am having chronic fatigue and started the TMS approach 4 weeks ago. For 3 weeks I did more activity. Symptoms increased but I continued and told myself I am fine. I actually felt deep down that my body is healthy and capable. But after 3 weeks I crashed. I felt like I did too much too soon. Now since a week I am having horrible symptoms. I try to tell myself that it is just a phase and will get better like it did after other crashes. But after a really bad crash this year my health dropped to a low and I never got back to my old level. So how can I not be afraid that this level I am at now because of my crash will become my new normal? :( It is really hard to apply the approach for fatigue and people say in a crash you have to rest and do nothing. But the TMS approach doesn’t say so. I don’t know what is right..

Your body has incredible healing abilities. More so, healing is his default state. Science predicts that, studies show it. Its called bioplasticity (the ability to adapt to the demands its been exposed to). Therefore this will not be your new normal, but eventually will go away. Your thoughts/emotions and your comment show that you are still afraid and have catastrophizing thoughts. Maybe you have to dial down your exposure and activity a little bit and work on your beliefs until you feel "safer". Remember: Somone who really feels safe doesn't have to tell him/herself that they are safe (especially when you deep down don't feel that way). And its only a setback when you don't learn from it. Find 1-2 learnings from your experience, adapt future behavior and let time do its wonders :-) Hope that helps. Please don't give up!

Reduce exercise to 30 - 45 min and only exercise every other day because muscles need a day recooperate. 4 times or 3 times a week ever other day - try that for a few months.

I can’t even think of proper exercise at the moment :/ I am just trying to do everyday life stuff. I am not able to work etc. the fatigue and pain are excruciating 😣

I've had cfs for 20 years. The approach of "just get on with things as if we aren't ill" just doesn't work for us because of PEM (Post Exertional Malaise).. I've learnt this the hard way...We have to stay within our energy envelopes and cant "push through" like others can.I'm sorry you have crashed,its really hard :( If u can do relaxations or meditations,that will help calm the flight or fight mechanism. Also do anything you can do to send messages of safety to your brain and body at this time. Dan has lots if good ideas on this in his videos.

How many months did you spend on learning the pain/symptoms??? Ik takes time for the neuroplasticity to change... Stop speaking Spanish takes time

Sick 4 years but have used various neuroplasticity programs and approach’s for 3 years now and I’m still housebound. So I’m not fully convinced this works for everyone

@@TheMissySue you have to be 100% convinced first before symptoms can shift, keep building your belief... Watch succes videos, it's possible, stay indifferent consistantly. Easier said then done

Dan do you have a recovery video about Morton’s neuroma (foot). I injured my feet wearing high heeled boots in nyc and walking miles during thanksgiving. The pain is unbearable. It is an acute issue currently. However just 3 weeks ago or less I have finally healed my long covid with your indifference method and Nicole’s journal speak. I said man is this symptom imperative?? But this is an actual issue and my nerve is killing me plus it is not chronic yet it is new due to a repetitive physical injury. I haven’t found any videos on recovery and tms with Morton neuroma. All the bad neighborhoods have a bad prognosis including surgery and it not helping so I got out of them. Let me know please
