Hands down this is the best pool channel on RU-vid! Great content and I love the way you explain everything so simply, then demonstrate how to execute the shots. Only problem is that you make it look too easy! Big thumbs up to you and keep the videos coming...
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I Love rail jumps, and even ride the rail shots, they freak my opponents out. Just about anything can be achieved with them. But I'm kicking myself for never having known this, it's so obvious, and useful, now to go practice it
👏👏👏Nothing but great content from you Niels. I see this happen all the time during league play. This will be an extremely useful skill to learn. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Niels, I can’t wait to add that to my bag! Very creative and outside of the box. I’ve been playing for 30 years, and surprised I haven’t seen that shot before. Now I’m just thinking of all the matches I could’ve used that… Wow.
Hi, Niels. Funny..! I did that shot yesterday in practice on a mega fluke, ran in position and won my game. But was wondering what the heck I did there. I was hooked on the long rail and straight in so I jacked up and made that "trickshot" on luck. Now I know what the secret is and will practice it some. Thanks for the great content and keep up the good work.
Hi, my name is Glen, I follow you since last year, your amateur player, since I follow you my game has improved a lot. Excellent classes, keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot, Terminator! I was taught this shot by a 70+ year old player at league a few years ago. I've been trying this shot all wrong. Also, I'm not sure if it's a camera or lighting issue, but for some reason, this video came out grainy. Keep the great information flowing!
Hi Antonio!!! Thanks for your feedback. Hope your practice went well? I do offer "personal player reviews", please send me a PM if you're interested. All the best, Niels 🙂🙂
works like a charm. My white ball hopped of the rail twice and with little reduced angle it worked. Recorded it and saw in slow motion the object ball jumping a little as well. As always great content, thank you
even thou i knew the shot before you demonstrated it niels i got some advice based on the fact you said the stroke should be snappy it seem that was the key in improving the success of this shot for me.... still waiting for my opportunity to excecute it
Great tip! You ever try same shot, 7 o'clock on cue follow shot and spin your stick with your back hand..like a half rotation snapping your wrist during follow stroke..bout same speed as your shot...i get great movement and 8 out of 10 i make the shot
Hey Mr. Feijen! Thank you for your great content! It really helps my game! Can you make a Video with tips, recommendations for blind-pocket shots? I play a lot of straight pool, usually I get good position on the breakshot, with a great angle to blast it all open. But I really do struggle to pot the ball. Would be amazing! Thank you so much!!
Love the videos! I just wish the shots came easier to me. I am still frustrated by the yo yo drill! I have two questions 1. what size is your table and what he heck are those red and blue numbers for in the background?
This is an interesting shot to work on, though I think I would try to play defense first (since I've been working so hard on 4-squares and big brother, little brother). But my bigger concern in having to practice this shot is the added wear on the cue tip. Is this better with a hard tip on your shooting cue? Thanks, Coach Feijen, as always! :)
Thanks Niels! I've got a question, I cannot do that shot with my cue but I've noticed tha I can do it with a cue from the pool hall, would you know why is that ?
Hey neils how u been buddy? My Gmail I was following on got hacked so I had to use my back up one. Following now on this one with the notifications on hope alls been well. I finally decided I am going to start playing again now just gotta save back up since holidays are over for a while I'll get in touch when ready to order.
I personally prefer the "caution first low english" shot in these situations is easier to hit it. what is your thoughts? Thanks for your great content!
hey Niels I just watch the video I couldn't tell if the cue ball jump and hit the rail first or hit the object ball and then walked up on the rail if you ever do it again could you explain that please
@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen yes u hit the ball cue ball lite bit hard and I must hit the 8ball at the center it goes but us u said u get the pop of the cue ball to the rail
This shot is driving me crazy. I can shoot it great many times in a row. 20-30. All of a sudden I start miscuing. Of course I chalk my stick. Shoot again. Miscue. 10-20 or more I muscue. I have to walk away. Later on I can shoot it again. I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong.
I would say it has to do with concentration. It's something you have to build up. Even tif you miss, you are still doing good and focussed work so stay with it!! 😛 Try to have a look at this vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ln1lsbWEQSs.html
I haven’t shot the rail shot. I am talking about a long reverse shot. Or. Top left works great awhile then I can’t do it. I walk away. Go back and can shoot again.

Hello Niels! Great video as always :) Im just wondering. On the serious match, if you would end up that dead straight on the ball, would you play that shot? I mean in competetive game. Or is it just a shot to show off? Have a great day bro :)
