In this video I will teach my techniques of how to execute the elevated pool shots aka Jacked Up shots.
The biggest tip is that when the cue ball is close to the rail, your left leg becomes the guiding leg instead of the right leg. This will help you to turn your body more and raise your cue more! 😀 💪
Enjoy!

Finally got around to watching this. I have struggled mightily when shooting jacked up. I almost ALWAYS miss these shots CB right in spite of how many times and how carefully I aim, align, and stroke. Your tip about using the LEFT foot (right-handed player) to align on the shot line is PURE GOLD! I just tried four table-length shots with the CB 1/2" from the short rail, OB about middle of the table, slight angle or medium angle. I made three of them and rattled one. Of course it's a really small sample set, but I know that trying this my "old" way would have missed wildly based on past performance. I know with some time working at the table using your tip I will be much more accurate. I also tried jacking up over an obstacle OB. Same thing: the balls went in. HUGE WIN for my game. Thanks so much for the tips!!!!!!!!! (Small donation sent.)

HOLY CRAP Niels. I didn't know Larry died until you said. Man, that is so sad. And literally, when you said 'best jacked up player' I knew who you meant. I saw him (the first time) at a Sands Reno I think ... table length drawing balls with the CB ON THE RAIL. Are there any other things you do to improve your jacked up shots..? I'm okay. I break and run pretty regularly when I'm playing ... but I really struggle with jacked up shots. I assumed I had a head alignment issue ... or an optical problem, but then, I'm not spinning the ball inadvertently ... I just suck at shooting jacked up. And I've even shot it 10-20x and it's still really below my skill level I think. I've tried looking at the CB last also (but I feel like that'd be an unreliable long term solution). Anyway ... maybe think through what you originally had to do when you were first dealing with jacked up shot consistency..? Thanks.

@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen
@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen Год назад
Ah interesting observation! It makes it much harder indeed unless you play soft and less elevation. Then a little spin can still work. High elevation makes it almost unplayable

Hi Niels: for some reason, around 80% of your videos are suffering from weird arbitrary auto-translation of the the title and the video description. In my case, since my settings are set to German, many titles and description on your videos are auto-translated into weird sounding German, super confusing, definitely inhibiting the user experience. It seems to happen with most of the "common" languages: German, French, Spanisch, Japanese, .... - but other "less common" languages don't suffer from that: like Dutch or Czech, no weird auto-translation there. I can't seem to turn the auto-translation off - I can only change my language setting to one, where your videos don't suffer from it. I'm not sure if it is something on your side (since I notice this issue the most with your channel out of all of my subscriptions), or YT f*cked up here or I'm missing something and it's on my side.... just wanted to let you know.
