This tutorial makes use of Xfer Serum BUT the same concepts can be applied to any Synthesizer, Hardware or virtual!

I love that you don’t always hit the exact number when turning the knobs Feel like I’m giving a tiny bit of uniqueness when I do that, even though I’m recreating sounds

I only realized the knob twists weren't exact a few months ago as well. Sometimes I would match detune on OSC A and B without realizing the minute difference.

Perfect. I was trying this using the brainworx oberhausen synth, having the feeling it was probably made using something like that. Got close with the lead, but this is pretty much spot on.

Randy was actually using the original mini v vst as i remember his words from twitch stream. I mean, his whole track was made by using mini v, but it's sounds accurate too. Good Job!

i think the reverb is a lot of people miss in recreations, like some of the sounds are too short or too long, and i think he gets its almost perfectly

it's not like you can listen to a sound and instantly know the values of 100 synth parameters. you recognize some features through experience (rough original timbre, ADSR envelope is straightforward to recreate, effects have obvious giveaways etc) and experiment for the others, gradually building up the timbre. exact values are more or less arbitrary. everytime you find yourself thinking "how is this possible for a human" remember practice is a surprisingly powerful tool, besides the fact that presentation of final result rarely is transparent to the means.
