Not a student, but a patient due for colonoscopy because of positive cologuard test. Wouldn't it be best to go ahead and get an MRI even before colonoscopy while waiting months for said colonoscopy? I've been waiting anxiously because I've been experiencing some pain in rectum on occasion and I fear the advancement of possible cancer. There doesn't seem to be any urgency on the part of the doctors for my wellbeing. Thank you for enlightening me on the level of knowledge and technology involved. I just hope my doctor has the same level of experience.

I was C stage 1 and pushed for neoadjuvant therapy. My argument was that MRI cannot tell if small nodes are cancerous and if they are it puts me at stage 3 which has better survival after neoadjuvant. Plus at stage one chance of getting complete clinical response was really high so could proceed with NOM.
