This is a Wednesday ride around the 11-mile Cades Cove loop road on the 1st vehicle-free day of 2020. Unlike years past, this year Wednesdays are vehicle-free ALL DAY but there will not be Saturday mornings vehicle-free.
Although the sky was overcast all day it wasn't until the afternoon that light sprinkles began to dot the area. Please enjoy this hodge-podge collage of activity.

Hi Ed. Thanks for recording the first all day car free day. I saw a couple bikes riding in the opposite direction. Surely they intend to maintain the one way direction for bike traffic.

Thanks, Leonard. The outing did prove to me that the rhythm of my ride/capture/share is a tad clunky right now. I feel that the best 'picture' is one that captures reality, sorta like enjoying a normal breathing pattern without thinking about it. We'll see.

Well I broke in my Catrike Expedition at Creve Couer Lake in St. Louis County. The trail around the lake is about 4 miles around. I only g.ot to make one trip around and had to stop. one because I was a bit tired after not riding/pedaling in a looooong time and two because there were some pretty intense looking clouds rolling in. I didn't want to get stuck in the middle of it. Plus if mom got confused and upset that I wasn't home I'd be getting a phone call. :-) Anyway, I'm glad to get 'er broken in FINALLY! Now the next on the agenda is to get your big leaf, but I've got to be sure I can afford to get it right now. I'm definitely a rookie...I forgot about a hill that I've tangled with on a bilke...and I got within 10 feet of the top and had to get off to walk her up the 10 feet. :-0 :-0
